One of the things I hear most often is:

“I know I need a new website. I just don’t know where to start.”

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

My process is designed to feel clear, collaborative, and a whole lot less overwhelming.

Before we talk about fonts, colors, or layouts, I want to understand your business.

How does it work?

What makes it different?

What do you want your customers to experience?

What role should your website play in helping your business grow?

I believe the best websites start with understanding the business, not just designing the website.

From there, every decision has a purpose. From the messaging and navigation to forms, scheduling, commerce, automations, and the tools working behind the scenes, we’ll create a website that doesn’t just look beautiful. It becomes a valuable part of your business.

One step at a time.

Ready to get started? Visit my website and click the Get Started button. I'll guide you from there.

Every business is different, which is why I don't believe in one-size-fits-all websites.

Whether you're just getting started or you're ready for a completely custom website, there's a path designed to meet you where you are.

✨ Website Templates
A professionally designed Squarespace website that's strategically built and ready for you to customize with your own brand, content, and personality.

✨ Tailored Websites
The perfect balance between customization and efficiency. I'll personalize one of my professionally designed templates to fit your business, saving time while creating a website that feels uniquely yours.

✨ Custom Websites
A fully custom Squarespace website designed from the ground up around your business, your goals, and the experience you want your customers to have.

No matter which path you choose, my approach is the same. I take the time to understand your business first, then create a website that's thoughtful, strategic, and built to become a valuable part of your business.

Not sure which path is right for you? I'd be happy to help.

Hi! I'm Nikki Butler. Welcome to Lit Path Co.

I'm so glad you're here. I hope we get to know each other.

I'm a Squarespace website designer based in Mound, Minnesota, and I love helping businesses build websites that communicate clearly, build trust, and become a valuable part of their business.

My path to website design wasn't a straight line, and I'm grateful for that.

I spent more than 20 years helping community businesses understand their customers, strengthen community connections, and grow through thoughtful marketing and strategy.

Looking back, curiosity has been the common thread. I love learning what makes a business unique, how people experience it, and how it connects with the community around it.

Over time, website design became the place where everything I'd learned could come together. It allowed me to combine strategy, creativity, and problem-solving while creating something businesses could put to work right away.

It's also why I'm so drawn to businesses that strengthen their communities. The local coffee shop where neighbors gather. The vacation rental where families reconnect. The restaurant that becomes part of someone's traditions. The nonprofit changing lives. The small businesses that help make a community feel like home.

That curiosity extends well beyond my work. Outside of work, I'm usually researching and planning our family's next adventure, exploring somewhere new, supporting local businesses, volunteering in my community, or happily getting lost in nature, art, new music, or a good book.

Here you'll find website tips, marketing, community connection ideas, local discoveries, thoughtful resources, travel inspiration, and the lessons I'm learning along the way. I hope you'll discover something new, whether you're growing a business, exploring somewhere new, or simply love learning.

Thanks for following along.

Support local. Grow together. ❤️
