38 years old. Probably 30 years I wanted to be a race car drive at an elite level. Well... my name isn't Earnhardt or Petty, my dad isn't John Menard. A lot of people around me think I'm nuts for building a car for one specific race "the Masters" at Jennerstown Speedway. We are about one week out from getting as close to my childhood dream as I possibly can on my budget. My emotions are all over the place, highs and lows. My expectations are high, goals are even higher. Some things I can control, some not... that's the chance I'm willing to take. Next weekend I will attempt to make a 30 car field with 54 cars registered. I think this is the show I've been waiting my entire life for. I wish the best of luck to every team that shows up. Check out Jennerstown.org or "Jennerstown Speedway Complex LLC" page for all the info on next weekend's event. If you do not have any plans, you do now... attend Jennerstown Speedway next Saturday and support local short track races and probably a neighbor that drives or is a crew member.
•Thanks mom and dad for the help with parts, labor, and a home for it.
•Thanks Alexis for not divorcing me through all of this.
•Thanks Ron for primer, decals, and all the other help
•Thanks Hubert for the paint
•Thanks to the unnamed late model and super cup teams that have helped with questions, info, or parts.
•Also THANKS to the tech support at Lefthander Chassis and Winters Performance both these companies have gone above and beyond when questioning their products.
Make the show or not we are racing next weekend regardless as they added a non-qualifier race.
