We feel very privileged to have done some vehicle decals over the years for the Mount Vernon Fire Department. So thankful to Chief Chad Christopher for trusting us to bring his vision to life for this EMS Supervisor SUV. Faced a lot of challenges with this one and learned a lot along the way! We used printed Oralite reflective 7-year vinyl continuing with their Mount Vernon Orange & Black theme. Maybe you'll see it cruising around town and remember that Good Impressions did the decals!

Here is a recent window decal job for EDEN Cold-Press Juice on the square in Mount Vernon. Wendi wanted to match the look of the banner on her awning so we tied everything together to really set off the front of her store. We also just did a large banner for her to use with her new outdoor seating area which should be up and running soon.

Another window perf job - this one an exterior install for Knox Coin Exchange. Ellen had designed this as a sign to display at our shop and Mike McKee liked it so much that he wanted two of them on his windows and a sign to display inside!

We are doing more and more vinyl graphic work! Been meaning to post more of the jobs that we've been doing so you can see all we have to offer. This job was for a new Whit's store in Ashland where I helped one of our partners, Dave Rashley - The Image Connection, to install interior window perf material. He had never installed graphics like this and this is the first time I had ever worked with interior perf, always had done exterior before. It turned out great!

If you have visited our shop, you have probably met at least one of our babies. Gracie (left) is our Princess - crawls up on Mike's lap during storms, sits in the front passenger seat like a person, snoots her nose at certain foods and is super intelligent and sweet. Bear (middle) a male from Gracie's first litter - is very laid back and lovable, a bit of a goof, loves to play ball, "talks" and will occasionally smile. Minerva (right) a female from Gracie's second litter will eventually live with our daughter - is the wild one, charges headlong into everything, loves to just run, will cuddle for a few minutes, loves to give and receive kisses, and makes us laugh a lot. Creative Foundations here in Mount Vernon is our client and a popular project they have is Pet Portraits. One of their talented artists will be painting our babies and we CAN'T WAIT to see the finished product!

Another thing we enjoy here at the print shop is the product samples our clients bring us. We have recently enjoyed jars of raspberry jam and brussels sprouts relish from Ann's Raspberry farm and home grown garlic from Yankee Garlic. My new customer from the Czech Republic has us print labels for homemade breads and kolaches baked by his girlfriend from Slovakia who is here on a visa. Today he brought us samples. Oh my, so delicious! We Loaf Bread Bakery products are available at the Village Market in Gambier or by calling Stanley at 740-233-5104 (number listed with his permission). Mmmm-mmmm good!

We do meet some interesting people here at the print shop. One of our newer customers is from the Czech Republic. He told us that he previously worked for Siemens (not in MV) and had traveled extensively. He said the job paid quite well, but it was high stress and he spent hours and hours in front of a computer. He decided to switch gears and purchased a portion of what was previously Windy Hill Orchard on Glen Road and is growing grains and other healthy foods to sell to "fancy" restaurants. His girlfriend is from Slovakia and is selling homemade breads at the Village Market in Gambier. He promised to bring us a sample next week. :) As an aside - the previous owner of Windy Hill is the son of my co-worker when I worked for Rich Cochran. His wife was in the shop the other day and we spent time catching up after not seeing each other for over 12 years. It's a small world after all - it's a small, small world!

Rich Cochran, the original owner of this print shop, told us every year that we should work for free on Labor Day to show our appreciation to him for having a job. Ha! Actually, we did get that day off -- as an unpaid holiday. Little did I know that several years later, after I purchased the business, I would be working MANY MANY days "for free". Ah, the life of a small business owner. Good Impressions will be closed Monday, Sept. 4th to observe the holiday. No lounging around on the deck grilling burgers for us, however. We will be moving our daughter into her almost finished home in Reynoldsburg. Been remodeling it in our "spare" time since January.
