Everyone in Mount Vernon knows Mayor Donovan.

But who is Peter when he isn't the mayor?
For Interview #1, we intentionally stripped the title away.
No City Hall. No policy talk. Just the person.

A lifelong Skagit County resident, Peter has called Mount Vernon home with his family since 2001. Before leading the city, he spent years working across the nonprofit, private sector, and city, volunteering, serving, and showing up for this community.

He's also an Ironman Canada finisher and Boston Marathon runner.
A family man. A neighbor.

We stopped in to see if this spot could back up its reputation — and after trying it, I think I understand why it made our Top 4. 👀

We toured Gardens of Note 2026 and wow — Bow-Edison showed out 🌷🎻

On June 28th, Skagit Symphony opened up 4 historic pastoral properties — White Ribbon Garden at Maibon Manor, Laurel House Farm, Benson Farmstead and more — with live ensembles in every garden, local art, w**e & shortcake, and that Skagit Valley light we all love.

We at 360skagit captured the whole experience. This is the shorter highlights version — the full 10-min tour is now live on our page and YouTube.

Thank you to Skagit Symphony, the homeowners, musicians, artists, and everyone in Bow-Edison who made it happen. All proceeds support Symphony's music education programs.

Triumph Teen Life Center BACK TO SCHOOL Livestream!

We streamed live from Triumph Teen Life Center's 5th Annual Back-to-School Event in the heart of Mount Vernon near SVC.
Huge turnout, even with the light rain.

This was a full community resource day - FREE backpacks + school supplies for kids, free shoes & roller skates, free haircuts from Washington Beauty Academy & Made Men Cuts, free hot dogs / agua fresca / chips, plus free vision & dental screenings from our main sponsor Coordinated Care.

• 86 Borders - helping remove barriers to healthcare
