Today marks the anniversary of the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people when hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and a rural field in Pennsylvania. Arkansas history, journalism and political science teachers with vivid memories of that day are using oral histories to better explain its significance to students who weren’t alive in 2001.

Army veteran Wesley Jackson remembers his confusion when co-workers told him two planes struck the World Trade Center on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001. After processing the news of the …

Ukponmwan has spent his career learning how to care for patients with kidney disease from every angle. He completed his nephrology fellowship at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Medical Center, where he cared for patients with both sudden and long-term kidney problems, managed patients on dialysis and worked alongside transplant teams at the University of California San Francisco supporting patients before and after kidney-transplant surgery.
Cotter is not new to Baxter Health. She has been a registered nurse and charge nurse with the health system since 2001, building more than two decades of relationships with patients and colleagues across the organization. Her transition to the Gastroenterology Clinic as an APRN represents a natural next step in a career defined by continuous growth and a deep commitment to the patients of northcentral Arkansas.

Baxter Health recently welcomed Esosa Ukponmwan, MD, MPH, to the Baxter Health Nephrology Clinic. Ukponmwan joins a team that includes Dr. Grant Mathews, Joyce Stratmoen, APRN, and Meagan Thitoff, …

I’ve spent a lot of time inside in a relationship with the air conditioner recently, so I’ve had plenty of time to research adding some no-bake desserts to my recipe files.

Although we have entered the meteorological season of fall — September, October and November — Mother Nature hasn’t seemed to get the message, so the sweltering heat continues. I’ve …

We are going to install these meters across the distribution network and be able to start measuring pressure in the distribution water system.”

The city has given the green light to make an upgrade with its water management by allowing the water and sewer department to proceed with the purchase of smart water meters. Public Works …

A Pulaski County judge said she would issue a ruling within 30 days after hearing arguments Wednesday on whether she would continue blocking laws that shift the authority to fire top prison officials …
