🎅 Santa Sessions are officially open for booking!

I’ll be offering one day of indoor Santa Sessions this year on Saturday, November 28, with a limited number of appointments available.

This year’s set takes us into Santa’s workshop, with the Santa, wardrobe and overall look you see right here in these photos. Some of the smaller decor or furniture pieces may change a bit as I finish putting everything together, but this gives you a pretty good peek at what I have planned!

Sessions are $150 and include:
🎄 A private, scheduled visit with Santa
🎄 10-minute session
🎄 Your choice of 3 images from your professionally edited gallery, with the option to purchase additional images

No waiting in a long line and no rushing your little ones through a quick hello. You’ll have your own scheduled time to visit with Santa and capture some Christmas magic while you’re here.

When you spend a lot of time admiring and advocating for the blue-collar workforce, you start to recognize the people and their work.

But I didn't expect to be rolling down the highway next to Rae Ripple's "Bare Metal" Bel Air!?

I jarred my husband from sleep in the passenger seat.

"Babe! You gotta take a picture of this car for me! Or a video!"..then I tried to explain the whole what, why...

By now, he's pretty used to my childlike wonder at all things trades, but imagine waking up from your travel nap like this... 😂

He later said, "You can't do that... I thought you were about to witness an accident or something!"
He patronized my request and we rolled on.
A few miles later, I got off at an exit to get gas and have a bathroom break.

And caffeinate.

The sign said there was a Sheetz, so that was my goal, but an Exxon right off the exit made it a little too easy, so in I went.

Imagine my surprise when I'm washing my hands next to the artist whose work I'd just been admiring! 😂

Now imagine her surprise when some random woman says her name when all she's trying to do is wash up and get back on the road!

But she was absolutely the sweetest and even invited me to get a sneak peek at the interior work she'd just had done on the car!!

I didn't take any pictures of that part. For one, I didn't even have my phone with me and had to enlist my husband for the quick photo of Rae and me. 😂 But more importantly, it wasn't mine to share. The work had just been completed, and I'm sure Rae will be sharing plenty as the build continues.

And you're going to want to follow along.
The 1964 "Bare Metal" Bel Air is ultimately headed to Mecum Kissimmee in 2027, with the build at the heart of the work Rae is doing through the Rae Ripple Foundation.

After this chance meeting and the opportunity to learn a little more about that work, all I can say is that it's obvious her heart matches her talent. I'm so looking forward to seeing what the future holds for her.

The sessions I love the most are always the ones when we have time to create variety and embrace the opportunity to make it personal.

Your photos tell your story.
One day, we all look back on moments and think, "I remember that. I remember what I felt like, what I liked, what I was excited about...."

I say we should never skip the opportunity to document our lives!

See, I contract my services selectively because I want to treat my client's mission like it is my own.

I want to look for ways to make something better... ..a process ..a picture ..a design ..a program

If I work on something I care about, I allow it to take up space in my life outside of simply clocking in and out.

This new Partnerships Packet required a lot more than putting information into a pretty layout.

It meant recognizing the insight specific members could bring to the table and picking their brains. Rethinking what we were offering. Massaging information. Bouncing ideas around. Figuring out how to make the whole thing make sense to someone on the other side of it.

And, yes, I use AI to help me ideate and drill down on the framework of my ideas. But I don't let it take over my projects. I don't blindly accept what it spits out and shuffle along as a job well done.

Because, let's be real y'all... it spits out a lot of garbage. 😂

But when you put the human back into the process, it can be pretty sweet.

And this e-mag is a pretty good example of what happens when your executive director's background doesn't stop at admin and operations, but brings along everything they have picked up in marketing, photography and graphic design, too.

Working with organizations that let me bring everything I have in my toolbox to the job is my favorite!!! 🫶🏼
