Jenny Huang Marketing They lack the marketing know-how to bring all the moving parts together into a cohesive plan that flows.

I help innovative humans launch their products and share their stories powerfully and authentically, so they'll gain early traction and attract the right people to them. When people who are at the beginning of their product or brand launch, they are trying to make an impact with their product but they don’t know how to frame it and position it. They are struggling to develop their story in a compelling way that builds trust, which is keeping them from launching their product and preventing them from gaining any traction. I work with them to understand what problems they are trying to solve and uncover blindspots that are limiters. I help them align their (and their team’s) personal strengths, and get them mentally and physically ready to begin their journey. The next step includes using essential building blocks to assemble their human story. Then I apply my LaunchFit framework to help them develop their ideas into a viable product or brand. From there, we work on developing a launch strategy that will gain traction, evaluate market feedback, and optimize it for maximum impact. Through this process, the client will have a clear sense of direction to move forward, a human story that builds trust, a specific plan to launch and build traction, a team who can deliver on its promise, and confidence in themselves knowing that they have the system, the tools, and the knowledge that they’ll need to be successful.

Last week, I've shared that I’ve been training Claude to think more like me.

The experiments that I have been doing with AI actually taught me a few things abt creating values in our human work.

As a result, I have developed an early process the we can use as a framework to help us navigate what we want to own and keep doing better, and what we want to get AI to assist so we can continue to do our best work.

Tip #1:
Defining What You as a Human Want to Own

Ownership is about something that you choose to hold onto, take responsibility for & get better at it -- not something that you want to outsource or let AI do it for you.

Before you can blend human & AI strengths, you need clarity on what you're not willing to hand off, regardless of how good the technology gets.

This starts with naming the human values that define how you work.

Here're some important ones:

*Human judgement under ambiguity: When the data is incomplete, the client is unclear about what they want, or the situation has no precedent, someone has to make a call. That would be you.

* Human empathy built over time: Consistency, follow-through & a willingness to be vulnerable with a client, these compound slowly & they can't be automated into existence.

* Ethical accountability: When a campaign misfires or a strategy backfires, someone has to own it, explain it & make it right. AI doesn't carry that weight.

* Human intuition in the room: The unspoken tension in a meeting, the hesitation in someone's voice, the moment a client needs reassurance instead of another uncertainty, this is a read-through emotion, not calculated from data.

* Human perspectives shaped by lived experience: Your point of view is shaped by everything you've lived through. Human lived experiences bring texture that data alone can't replicate.

None of this is about resisting technology. It's about preserving and protecting the parts of you or your work that depend on human emotions & human perspectives in the first place.

What's your list of human non-negotiables when working with AI?

Recently, I have been doing more incremental training on Claude as a marketer. While I am learning to test and re-test if Claude’s AI approach can help me be more efficient in my workshop training and writing projects, I also learn that it takes quite a bit of time to train AI to think like me.

As I am going through my AI training, I pause from time to time to reflect on my philosophy about how we should integrate AI into our daily work and personal tasks.

I have always been a believer in keeping skills and superpowers that I own and not outsource them because they are non-negotiables – something that I continue to see as values that I bring to do my best work.

My values are my own experiences, struggles, intuition, perspectives, judgement, and stories that come to shape how I see things, hear things, learn things, feel things, analyze things, and connect with others.

While I am trying to be better at working together with AI to do great work, I have been reminded by an Instagram podcast clip of Seth Godin who raised the message about creating values in our human work. Godin is an American author, entrepreneur, and marketing expert known for changing how people think about modern marketing, leadership, and work. I've been following Godin because of his worldly wisdom and interesting things he said that wake people up.

What Godin said in that interview clip woke me up; it landed with me because I think we all need to be more aware and conscious of our superpowers, what we are good at that comes easily, and what we love to do that we don’t want to have someone else do it for us.

This thinking is what has prompted me writing this blog. My intention is to help us start navigating what we want to own as humans, and what we can work with AI together to do our best work.

Leading Business and Life with the Heart of a Champion

Watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 has triggered a potent thought in me about how elite soccer teams won their battles playing in tough and competitive environments.

In my opinion, definition of a champion means Role modeling your values and beliefs in all facets of your life, living and leading like an authentic champion. One thing that stood out in all winning teams such as France, England, Spain, and Norway, -- without intentionally single out any teams – is that they led and played like world champions.

Champions don’t necessarily mean that they are guaranteed winners in all the games they played. Champions in my blog’s context mean that the team, the sponsored country, and all individual players all wore on their sleeves values and beliefs of champions, regardless of circumstances that they were under.

When athletes played with a heart of a champion, their presence and influence go beyond just the physical and skill aspects of the game. It means that players and their team as a whole, exemplify “champion” spirits and behaviors, living and breathing their values on and off the field.

Watching the FIFA 2026 World Cup made me realize how important it is for top-team players to maintain their physiques, mental capacity, while delivering the level of performance they strive for, as a team, game after game, without losing stamina, hopes, motivation, and sportsmanship.

It begs a question in me as a business owner and an entrepreneur.

How do we keep up with our business competitive edge and be successful over the short- and long-term, while not losing sight on things that continue to motivate us, help us grow, make leaps, and thrive over the long term?

Imagine a business or start-up as athletes of top-performing teams, who most likely adopt a hybrid mindset where they use internal competition to build their skills, and actively channel their external competitiveness against rivals to push themselves into peak performance and unlock their inner genius.

The focus of my blog addresses the “internal competition” that we have in us, that I think we can actively practice more.

Like iconic leaders in business, Evian is here for the long game and not short-term sprints.

Evian sets an example of an iconic brand that continues to deliver on its brand promise, by staying consistent in applying its guiding principles and fundamentals in marketing.

Its branding and marketing work together to deliver on the two-word core idea and message:

"Live Young" -- keeping us feel alive and youthful.

Everything that they do with the product: from the clear bottle to its sustainable packaging and visual icon to the origin of its story, they all work cohesively to land that feeling instantly.

Getting us to be intimate with the emotional and social benefits of the brand is how iconic brands connect with us to stay in the long game.

Marketing Fundamentals for Small Business Owners & Executives

I had so much fun in leading my workshop on Marketing Fundamentals to a cohort of energized business owners and executives, hosted at San Jose's Martin Luther King Library Business Center, in partnership with Silicon Valley SBDC at San Jose State University.

This effort was a culmination of preparation using an AI-aided outline collaborated with my human intuition and experience to deliver a thoughtful and impactful presentation, with live interaction and discussion.

I'm glad that everyone in this group got a chance to be curious, asking relevant questions to clarify what they know or want to learn more about.

We wrapped up the session with a group exercise where Teams A and B got to assess an iconic company of their choosing, on how well each company has applied the 5 P's in marketing to carry out their brand promise and marketing strategies.

I am grateful for all the love and energy given by this cohort -- that was the best part of my day.

The key messages that I shared with this group:

The best marketers in the Digital and AI Era never forget the basics on marketing fundamentals.

We own our human intuition, empathy, and judgement, complementing with AI to do our best work.
