CARNIVAL ALERT! The carnival is coming to town for the "Old Timers Day Festival"! It will open at 4:30 PM Thursday night with a 4 hour $20 armband session, unlimited rides with the arm band from 4:30 to 9:30!

FIREFLY BOUTIQUE has presale tickets for that session (thurs.night) for $17 while supply lasts! Only 400 tickets at this price so "you snooze, you loose" Buy the ticket and exchange it for an armband at the ticket booth!

BTW the carnival will be larger this year and be at two locations in old downtown Van Buren. SEE YOU THERE!!!

It's not just a app that is owned and operated locally... We really are trying to give people an app that focuses on Local businesses. What things do you find interesting in your town? Tell us how we can make Live It Local better for you, what can we add that would make you want to use it all the time?

Yesterday we sent the new iPhone app to Apple to get it approved!! Here is a summary of the changes to expect (it usually takes about 8 days for them to approve updates and get it posted):

Live It Local now works more like an information directory for your local town. Added search by company name, star ratings, hours of operation, and restaurant menus. Look for the green light to see if companies are open, or the red light if they are closed. Companies are organized like the Yellow Pages, by category. Drill down on a company to view it's wall and it's deals. You can subscribe and see followers, post reviews and comments which are connected with Facebook, and you can share recommendations by uploading photos from your camera.
