What is KashKick and How Does it Work?
KashKick is a legit way to make extra money, but don’t expect it to replace your day job.
With KashKick, there are four ways to make money:

Surveys
Games
Offers
“Extras”

In a nutshell, companies pay KashKick to help collect data and get new customers, and KashKick passes some of that revenue along to you.
These incentives range from around $0.25 to over $100, depending on the task. There’s a $10 minimum to cash out.
According to the company’s LinkedIn profile, the business was established in 2015 and has grown to over 2M users.

Who is Eligible for KashKick?
KashKick is available to U.S. residents 18 and over.
The company also has an Android app, allowing you to complete rewards from your phone.

At press time, the app had over 50k downloads and a 4.2-star rating from over 500 reviews.
Our KashKick Results: Is it Worth It?
Once you sign up, you are taken inside the platform to choose between Games, Offers, Surveys, and “Extra$”.
It also has a handy tab that lets you see your progress with your offers. This allows you to track what you have completed and what you can expect will still show up in your account.

Let’s take a look at the four ways you can earn with KashKick.
1. Games
The idea of getting paid to play games is pretty cool, especially if you were going to be playing them anyway!
Inside KashKick, I had a variety of 38 games available to me including titles like:

Monopoly GO
Coin Master
Family Island

The payouts for these ranged from $100-150. To earn that, you have to install the game through KashKick’s referral link, and achieve certain levels inside the game within the given timeframe.
For example, for Family Island, you have to reach level 50 within 34 days to earn the full $150.
Thankfully, most of the game rewards are on a tiered basis. That means it’s not all-or-nothing — you can earn a smaller reward for testing it out even if you don’t get all the way to highest levels.
These terms are spelled out in the offer details:

If you’re a fan of mobile games already, this is an easy no-brainer way to make extra money. It costs you nothing and can be a fun way to monetize a hobby of yours.
If you weren’t already going to be spending your downtime playing games, it’s probably not worth it. It could take hours of play time to reach the specific levels required for the payout.
2. Offers
The second way to make money on KashKick is to complete offers. These are from apps and services that KashKick has partnered with to share sign-up bonuses with you.
At press time, I found offers from:

Mint Mobile (earn $8)
Uber (sign up to drive and earn $125 after your first trip)
Upside (earn $15)
and more

Most of the offers are centered on either saving money or earning extra money, which are a good fit for KashKick users.
In my dashboard, these ranged from $1.75 to $125, depending on the product.
If these apps and services are helpful for you, it makes sense to sign up through KashKick. There’s no additional cost to you, and it’s an easy way to make some extra cash.
3. Surveys
The next section has lots of surveys for you to choose from. These are likely the lowest-paying aspect of KashKick.
Many of the surveys pay between $0.10 – $0.50 per survey, which severely limits your earning ability.
On the plus side, KashKick is at least transparent about this, giving you the estimated time it will take to complete each survey:

Let’s do some quick math on these:

$0.49 for 15 minutes = $1.96 per hour
$0.41 for 12 minutes = $2.05 per hour
$0.41 for 24 minutes = $1.03 per hour
$0.37 for 26 minutes = $0.85 per hour
$0.30 for 22 minutes = $0.82 per hour (yikes!)
$0.29 for 21 minutes = $0.83 per hour

Not great. I’m confident you’ve got better ways to spend your time.
Picking and choosing the best paying ones, I spent 45 minutes filling out surveys and earned a grand total of $1.47.

For better paying options, I recommend online focus groups and paid market research. There aren’t as many opportunities, but with sites like User Interviews and Respondent, you can earn $50-150/hour.

4. Extra$
The final way to earn with KashKick is a mixed-bag section cutely-named “Extra$.”
This is a mix of surveys and offers from third-party partnerships. The payout on these is very similar to the KashKick payouts.

I found this section a little buggy. Often the links didn’t lead anywhere or I had to jump through too many hoops to get what was offered.
How to Cash Out Your KashKick Earnings
You can cash out to PayPal when you reach the minimum of $10.
KashKick says they intend to add more payment options in the future.
They minimum threshold is reasonable, but we’d love to see some gift card or Venmo/Zelle options added.
How to Maximize Your KashKick Earning Power
The best way to maximize your rewards with KashKick is through their game and offer promotions.
With games, you will get rewarded as you reach certain levels within certain days of downloading the app. The best way to approach this would be to do one game at a time to reach the levels required for your reward.
It will be important that you track how much time you spend playing the game to reach the payout levels. Doing so will allow you to determine your effective hourly rate. You’ll then be able to determine if it’s worth your time to continue playing the games.
Offers are the other best way to earn on KashKick.
Start with the offers you already want to sign up for and do your own due diligence for others you see advertised.
KashKick Alternatives
While KashKick can help you earn extra money, it’s definitely not the only game in town. Here are some alternatives that may be worth a look.

With over 180,000 reviews and a 4.4-star rating in the Google Play store, Rewarded Play is another free, legit, and fun, “get paid to play” app. If games is your thing, this is another great platform to use.

Rewarded Play is your one-stop app for casual games like:

Solitaire
Mahjong
Wheel of Fortune
Yahtzee
and more

As you play, choose your rewards and get your gift cards within 48 hours.
4. FlexJobs

You can filter by industry, part-time vs. full-time, or freelance vs. employee.

11/29/2023

Following their successful collaboration with Howard University alumnus Josh Mercer in 2022, distillery Maker’s Mark has announced two offerings from its new Private Selection bottling program. As Essence reported, they have tapped two alums from two of the most prestigious HBCUs in America, D’Angela Proctor from Spelman College and Harold H. Montgomery, Jr. from Morehouse College.

In a continuation of the seed planted through their initial collaboration with Mercer, the bourbon distillery will use these distinct drinks created by the pair to honor the history and heritage of their respective collegiate experiences. Proctor named her drink “Undaunted 1881” in a nod to the founding of Spelman as well as her consulting firm and content creation company, Undaunted Content, which she formed in 2019. Proctor chose notes of vanilla, caramel, cinnamon, and nutmeg in an attempt to express the grace, tenacity, and complex nature of the ladies who called Spelman home over the institution’s near century and a half of service.

Montgomery, who is a Morehouse graduate and business owner, called his creation “1867 The House Standard,” which pulled inspiration for its taste profile from his favorite cigar brand. Montgomery also sought to respect the culture of leadership exemplified by Morehouse and its vaunted past alumni through his bourbon composition. The Private Selection program allows for restaurant or retail partners as well as everyday customers to create their unique blends of bourbon similar to Proctor and Montgomery Jr.

According to the Maker’s Mark website, the program “is a first-of-its-kind barrel program. It allows our retail or restaurant partners to purchase a barrel and explore their own taste visions of Maker’s Mark – much in the way our past-and-present Maker’s distillers defined theirs.”

The two Makers Mark Private Selection bottles will retail for around $75 and like their previous limited-time HBCU bottle created to honor Howard University, will be made available just in time for the two college’s homecoming celebrations. At the present time, they will only be available for purchase in a select quantity at Atlanta’s My Friend’s Bottle Shop starting on Oct. 27.

Teyana Taylor has filed for divorce from Iman Shumpert after seven years of marriage, according to TMZ. The news comes just two months after the pair announced their separation in September.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the singer-songwriter filed for divorce in Jan. 2023, eight months before announcing the separation to the public. In the divorce filing, Taylor alleged that Shumpert was extremely “emotionally and mentally abusive” and grew insecure about the actress’s success despite his career as a basketball star.

Taylor claims that Shumpert would initiate arguments with her for no reason, even on her birthday, and then later apologized. She also claimed that she turned down several business opportunities because Shumpert did not want her to work, but after the birth of one of their children, he became upset at her not making money. Taylor alleged that Shumpert was “treating her cruelly and displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage.”

The lawsuit reveals details of the relationship, citing numerous instances of infidelity and prior arrests on Shumpert’s end. In Aug. 2016, the former Cleveland Cavaliers player was arrested for driving under the influence and other charges. More recently, in late July 2022, Shumpert was arrested on felony ma*****na possession charges at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. In the suit, Taylor also states that Shumpert once crashed her vehicle and fled the scene to avoid another DUI arrest.

Taylor secretly filed for divorce, but the two briefly reconciled at Shumpert’s insistence. However, their reunion was short-lived as Shumpert allegedly continued to be inconsistent and became involved in another extra-marital affair. Though Taylor initially denied infidelity being one of the reasons for their separation, she has since stated that this was done out of grace toward Shumpert, according to TMZ.

Following their split, Shumpert left their shared home in October and has spent minimal time with the couple’s two children since then, according to the suit. Taylor is requesting temporary and permanent primary physical custody, plus joint legal custody and child support.

Taylor found fame at 15 years old as a dancer when she was credited as the choreographer for the music video of Beyoncé’s popular single, “Ring the Alarm.”

She’s continued to make a name for herself in the music world as a singer-songwriter and has since collaborated with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Pharrell, Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliot, and more. She is also a successful actress and was recently nominated for the Gotham Independent Film Award for Outstanding Lead Performance for her role in the 2023 film A Thousand and One.

Shumpert is a former NBA star who has played for the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers, the latter for which he won an NBA Championship in 2016. He also won season 30 of the competition series Dancing with the Stars with professional dancer Daniella Karagach in 2021.

Teyana Taylor has filed for divorce from Iman Shumpert after seven years of marriage, according to TMZ.

11/27/2023

A Nevada judge has set a trial date for Duane “Keefe D” Davis who is suspected to be involved in the killing of hip-hop recording artist, Tupac Shakur.
According to the New York Daily News, Judge Carli Kierny has placed June 3, 2024 on the court’s calendar as the start of Keefe D’s case. On Tuesday, Nov. 7, the suspect’s court-appointed attorneys Charles Cano and Robert Arroyo appeared with Keefe D to face the judge. He has pleaded not guilty after being charged with murder with a deadly weapon with the intent to promote, further, or assist a criminal gang.
Chief Deputy District Attorney Marc DiGiacomo told the court that the amount of evidence in Davis’ case is “as voluminous as I’ve ever had in my career,” according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Cano and Arroyo expressed to the judge that they were still going over grand jury transcripts. The defense attorneys will have until late December to file a petition against the murder charge.
The 60-year-old is scheduled to appear before Judge Kierny on Jan. 9, 2024, for a status check. According to The Associated Press, his attorneys say they will file documents requesting that he be released on bail until his trial starts.

Keefe D is the only living person who was in the vehicle where the shooter fired the bullets that struck and killed the “Death Row” rapper on Sept. 7, 1996. He was arrested on Sept. 29 in Henderson after Las Vegas police officers raided his residence on July 17.
Tupac was shot multiple times in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas after a Mike Tyson fight on Sept. 7, 1996. He died six days after being shot at the age of 25. Keefe D, who wrote the book, Compton Street Legend had previously stated that the killing of the “Me Against the World” lyricist was done by his nephew, Orlando Anderson, who was killed two years later. Anderson was seen on video having an altercation with the entertainer before the “All Eyez On Me” emcee died.

11/26/2023

A group of St. Louis parents are speaking out against what they say is inaction by the Wentzville School District leaders to stop Black students from having to endure relentless racial slurs from peers.
Laesha Moore claimed that her daughter, a senior at Timberland High School, has had to resort to trying to muffle the racist attacks of her classmates, KMOV 4 reported.
“The fact that she has to put in her headphones to try to drown them out is not okay,” she said. “This is my baby, you understand. My job as a parent is to protect my kids.”
According to the outlet, the experience of Moore’s daughter is not an isolated incident, as more students have complained of an onslaught of hate.
“It’s not one time that she was referred to as the N-word. It’s multiple times a week,” said parent Tamara King.
Both King and Moore have expressed disappointment in the school district for their failure to dole out punishment and expulsion to the students perpetuating the vile treatment. King recently wrote a letter to the school board outlining the injustices.
“Our kids are being attacked. The children who were responsible for that, from my understanding, were given in-school suspension and a few days off the bus,” King said.
The relentlessness of the alleged attacks and subsequent silence from Wentzville has been exhausting for both the Black students and parents in the district.
“It’s nerve-wrenching, it is heartbreaking, it’s disturbing, and I’m tired of it,” Moore said. “They have to do something. If we have to go to the very top, we will do so.”
A spokesperson for Wentzville released a statement condemning the actions of the students in question.
“Racism is not tolerated in our schools. The Wentzville School District is committed to fostering an environment free from harassment and discrimination,” the statement reads. “Any action that does not align with that commitment is met with a thorough investigation and appropriate disciplinary measures in alignment with District policy. We value and welcome students and parents who raise concerns. By reporting concerns, we can promptly assist and protect our students.”
According to the outlet, school leaders are expected to meet with parents on Oct. 12.

The 50th birthday celebration for hip-hop continues.
Variety released a list of the greatest hip-hop executives of all time. From the early 1970s, some of the greatest sounds of the genre are because of the hardworking visionaries behind the scenes. As the years went on, executives started to look a little different, ranging some those with no musical talents to artists suddenly calling the shots for their own legacy and artists coming up behind them.
Using GOAT status, the words “all- time” means no one on the list has risen to prominence over the last 10 years.
Coming in at No. 1 is Mr. G-Unit, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. After dropping his iconic debut studio album, “Get Rich or Die Tryin” in 2003, the Queens, New York, native grew his label with rappers including Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck. Following his success in the booth, he challenged the boardrooms of major corporations. In 2004, he scored an endorsement deal with Vitaminwater and then cashed in big when Coca-Cola acquired the company for $4.2 billion.
Now, he’s a leading force in Black entertainment as the mastermind behind the hit series, “Power.”
Hip-hop wouldn’t even know who 50 Cent is without the like of another major executive, Dr. Dre, coming in at No. 8. Not too many on the list are co-founders of two of the most prolific forces in music. The West Coast legend founded both N.W.A and Death Row Records. Besides some legal and health troubles, Dre gained massive success bringing the world the sounds of Snoop Dogg, Tupac Shakur, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar.
Not to mention his Beats by Dre headphones can be seen everywhere.
The ladies also have a strong place on the list. Former BET CEO Debra Lee and Ethiopia Habtemariam, the genius behind Quality Control Music, were high up on the list. According to Black America Web, Urban One Founder Cathy Hughes, was highlighted.
Others who made the list include founders of some of the most legendary labels including Roc-A-Fella records founder, Jay-Z, So So Def creator, Jermaine Dupri, and Cash Money founder, Birdman. The list also pays homage to those icons who are no longer here including Def Jam Records Co-founder Andre Harrell and Violator Founder Chris Lighty. Lighty bought heavy- hitting names like Busta Rhymes, Nas, and A Tribe Called Quest to the forefront.

Some of the greatest sounds of hip-hop are thanks to some of the hardworking visionaries behind the scenes.

1. BBQ Cleaning
Jacob Shaidle was just 16 years old when he launched his BBQ cleaning side hustle in Ontario, Canada in 2021.
As a high school student looking to earn money for college, Jacob decided to go door-to-door offering to clean neighborhood grills and smokers.
It certainly wasn’t smooth sailing from there. In fact, Jacob reports that after the first lucky break, the next 50 homes in a row all said no to him.

As he told GlobalNews.ca:
“Even now, I’ll have up to
200 people in a row say ‘no’”
“It’s all about persevering and looking at the light at the end of the tunnel.”
And persevere he did. By the end of his first year, Jacob had brought in an impressive $12,000 in revenue.
And in his second year, he more than doubled sales to over $16,000 for the season!
That’s an incredible accomplishment for a part-time endeavor. Just imagine earning an extra $16,000 during your summer break in high school.
In the interview, Jacob shared that he expanded beyond just grill cleaning this past year. He now offers other cleaning services like “pressure washing patios, sidewalks, driveways, and car detailing, starting around $150 a session.”
There are lots of opportunities in niche cleaning businesses. Here are other examples from our previous episodes:

Johnny Robinson’s window washing service
Josh Belk’s mobile car detailing business
Brian Winch’s parking lot litter cleanup service

2. Selling Plant Clippings
Gardening can be much more than just a hobby—it can be a way to earn extra cash on the side too.
Brian Aleksivich from TheLotsProject.com gave us a peek into his homegrown side hustle selling comfrey root and crown cuttings online.

Comfrey is a perennial herb that spreads each year, with new plants sprouting from pieces of existing roots and crowns.
Brian says he first learned about comfrey’s propagation abilities from Survival Podcast with Jack Spirko discussing its many uses. He ordered some starter plants, let them establish and multiply, and soon had more than enough to share.
Brian sells his comfrey cuttings on platforms like Etsy, Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist. He notes that he harvests each Sunday and ships out orders on Mondays. This tactic allows him to limit the time spent on this side hustle.
And the effort has paid off. Brian reports earning “a couple hundred bucks a week” from comfrey root alone. When you consider this requires just a few hours of work on Sundays, that’s an incredible return.
Brian shared that he and his wife decided to sell their Minnesota farm and embrace the full-time RV lifestyle.
To keep his comfrey side hustle going, he partnered with several individuals to help them start their own comfrey businesses using his root stock and guidance.
Brian offers guidance for anyone looking to start their own comfrey side hustle. On his website’s Services page, you can sign up for a 30-minute consultation to determine if comfrey is a good fit for you.
3. Growing Mushrooms
When the pandemic hit in 2020, many people turned to gardening, baking, and home projects to fill time at home.
For Doug Bronson of Southern New Hampshire, lockdown led to experimenting with mushroom growing.
Over the past years, Doug has grown that hobby into a basement mushroom farm generating $2,000 per week in sales.

Doug told us his startup costs were actually quite high—he spent over $30,000 on equipment and supplies
but he doesn’t regret the investment.
Doug’s first client was a local mushroom farmer named Eric who runs farm tours and sells to restaurants and markets. There is high demand for mushrooms in their area, so Doug started supplying Eric wholesale.
He is grossing about $2,000 a week selling around 240 lbs of mushrooms at $8 per lb wholesale, or up to $16 retail, and it costs Doug only around $1,000 to produce each batch.
Doug is working on increasing his revenue by getting into farmer’s markets, as well as lowering his production costs. He also started a YouTube channel called SpeakeasyMyco to document his progress.
4. Headstones for Pets
Saying goodbye to a beloved pet is always hard. But Rodney Melton is trying to make honoring that lifetime of memories a little bit easier.
Rodney runs an Etsy shop called MeltonMemorials, creating custom engraved pet headstones.

In the last year alone, Rodney brought in over $200,000 in sales from his pet memorial side hustle.
And with the low overhead of running this type of online business, he pockets an estimated 65% in profits.
Rodney does have some upfront equipment costs like laser engraving machines, granite saws, and other tools for etching.
But he saves on his biggest expense: granite. How? Rodney partners with a local countertop manufacturer to pick up their discarded granite scraps.
The stone pieces aren’t big, but they are big enough to craft hundreds of pet memorials sized from bricks to mini headstones.
Since opening his Etsy shop, Rodney has made over 7,500 sales.
Pet loss is an unfortunate inevitability for most owners. But products like Rodney’s pet headstones help keep memories alive.
5. Christmas Light Installation
If those Christmas tunes get you dreaming about festive lights and decor, why not turn your enthusiasm into a seasonal side business?
That’s exactly what Jeff Jurina did over 20 years ago when he launched his Christmas light installation company, Christmas Lights By Design.

Here are some of the standout stats Jeff shared about his holiday hustle:

$70,000+ in sales each season
All earned in just 2 months of work
Startup costs: ladder
Now also sells installation training

Jeff began simply by going door-to-door in November and offering to put up neighbor’s lights. His only supplies were a ladder and some handouts.
But he provided such a valuable service that word spread, business boomed, and the orders kept flowing in year after year.
These days, Jeff is busy managing his ongoing client lights in addition to selling installation training to new entrepreneurs.
His online course teaches everything you need to know to start your own Christmas light business. Use promo code SIDEHUSTLE to save 10% off enrollment.
Christmas holiday lighting is a nice add-on sale once you’re onsite decorating a client’s home or business for the season. You provide the know-how, and they provide the materials.
You can even rent extra ladders and lifts during your busiest weeks then store them away for the rest of the year.
6. Signature Coach
Here’s a creative side hustle that takes a simple skill to the bank: redesigning signatures.
Priscilla Molina of Los Angeles has built a business around redesigning signatures. On her site Planet of Names, she charges $25-$120 per custom signature.

Each order includes 3 unique signature concepts tailored to the customer’s desired style—simple, professional, and dramatic.
Priscilla says her customers are people unhappy with their current signatures, which no longer match their personality or convey their desired image.
“They’re not happy with their signatures. They don’t relate to who they are. They don’t give the message they want to convey to the world,” she shared in an Associated Press interview.
She earns an estimated $5,000+ per month with her signature redesign service, primarily driven by her TikTok account where she has nearly 1 million followers.
Priscilla’s most popular TikTok videos demonstrate signature styles, like drawing stylized versions of a single letter. This establishes her expertise even for those with no calligraphy skills themselves.
If you think about it, this makeover side hustle model could work for other creative services too, like redesigning Zoom backdrops, fireplace mantels, sales copy, etc.
7. Renting Champagne Walls
You know how much we love unconventional rental side hustles here—something you can buy or build once, then generate income from repeatedly. Past examples on the show have included party inflatables, portable hot tubs, and mobility scooters.
Cheers to this next side hustler who dreamed up a way to cash in on weddings without actually planning any events.

Alexis McDermott is the founder of Wandering Wall Company, a decor rental business specializing in trendy champagne walls.
Alexis builds and rents out wooden walls fitted to hold staggered rows of champagne glasses. Couples can use them as self-serve bars at their receptions. Her walls rent for $450 each and have been a huge hit.
Just two years after launching her side hustle, Alexis has already decorated nearly $30,000 worth of champagne walls and other wedding props.
In addition to champagne walls, she rents seating charts, photo backdrops, welcome signs, and other wedding decor.
Speaking with Business Insider, Alexis attributed much of her success to social media, specifically strategic photography partnerships.
“Social media has played a huge role in my business success,” she said.

8. Selling Your Stock Voting Rights
If you invest in individual stocks, there’s a hidden perk you may not know about.
Shareholders get voting rights in addition to any potential dividends and appreciation, and Preston Yadegar’s company Shareholder Vote Exchange will actually pay you to exercise those rights.

Here’s a quick explainer on how it works:
Public companies hold votes on matters like electing board members and approving policies.
As a shareholder, you get a say through your voting rights.
But many individual investors don’t participate in these votes, even though they could influence outcomes. That’s where Shareholder Vote Exchange comes in.
Preston’s company purchases your voting rights for money, allowing them to cast proxy votes on your behalf. These votes are more valuable for smaller companies, where shareholders have greater sway.
According to Preston, compensation typically ranges from 0.1% to 5% of your share price.
For example, if you owned $100k worth of qualifying stock, you could earn an extra $100 to $5,000 each year!
And it takes just minutes to connect your brokerage account to start monetizing your votes.
This is one of the most unique side hustle opportunities I’ve heard in a while. Even with a modest portfolio, those unused voting rights could represent thousands in found money.
9. Mt. Rainier Watch
This next side hustle is near and dear to my heart as a native Pacific Northwesterner.
Mt. Rainier is the iconic 14,411 foot tall volcano in the Cascade Range. We even have a local saying – “the mountain is out!” anytime Rainier makes an appearance.

Back in 2013, David Lindahl decided to create – an X (former Twitter) account simply posting daily mountain visibility updates.
And slowly but surely, David has grown this single-focus social media presence into a merchandising empire bringing in over $2,000 per month.
It took 5 years of consistent posting before David added any products. He quickly realized how passionate locals were about this legendary peak.
In 2018, he launched eCommerce merchandise like t-shirts, stickers, and mugs.
Today, the Twitter account has around 38,622 followers. He now generates $2,000 per month in mountain-themed product sales online and at local events.
This is a great example of building an audience around a beloved landmark. Is there a historic building, statue, sign, bridge, or other structure in your area that stirs up community pride?
Find some way to celebrate it, and fans may want a piece of memorabilia to show their support.
10. Batting Stance Guy
Closing out our list this year is a true novelty side hustle.
Gar Ryness gained online fame as Batting Stance Guy, impersonating the batting rituals of professional baseball players in YouTube videos.

Gar himself admits mimicking batting stances is among the least marketable skills. Yet his videos have amassed over 5 million views, earning an estimated $22,000.
At the height of his popularity around 2008–2009, Gar scored TV appearances and a book deal with Scribner.
The book, Batting Stance Guy: A Love Letter to Baseball, is still available on Amazon.
While the initial hype has died down, Gar continues to offer personalized videos on Cameo for $25 each, which is what I did for this episode.
Garrett is proof that even the most random, “unmarketable” skills can be monetized.
So take stock of your own quirky talents. If you can make someone smile or marvel at your unique abilities, there is always an audience out there.
Honorable Mentions
Reselling Costco cakes in Mexico – Entrepreneurs were buying Costco sheet cakes in bulk from US stores and reselling them locally in Mexico at a premium. It became popular enough that Costco had to start limiting cake purchases.
Music for pets – became a pretty big operation and ended up selling for 10 million+ relaxing music for pets.
Wrapping Up
And that wraps up this year’s roundup of creative side hustle ideas and stories!
As you can see from these profiles, there are so many ways to turn skills and interests into cash. Maybe one of these unconventional businesses sparked an idea for you.
