We really don't have the words yet. It's still a shock, but we feel we need to say something.

Dolly Parton died today, and we can't stop crying.

It's strange to grieve someone you never met in person. It's stranger still when that person shaped how your business thinks, how you make decisions, how you treat people, every single day. We quote her. She's in our office on a portrait on the wall. She's in how we talk to clients. She's in the decisions we make when we have to choose between what's easier and what's right.

We built this company partly around the question: 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐃𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐨? It wasn't just something clever to say. It was real. It mattered to us. It guided us in so many aspects of our business.

She came from nothing and built something beautiful. She never stopped being herself, never traded who she was for success, never forgot where she came from. She faced criticism and answered with grace. She used everything she had to lift people up. She loved fiercely, and she loved boldly.

"𝐈𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 '𝐞𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬."

We're going to keep that promise. We're going to keep carrying her light forward. Through our work, through how we treat people, through every time we ask ourselves if we're doing right by someone.

Thank you, Dolly. For showing us how.

It is with so much sadness that we bid you farewell. Thank you, God above, for letting Earth borrow one of your angels these past 80 years. We're sure both you and Carl were ready to get her back.

The Wild West of AI content is officially over. 🛑 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀.

Before we begin: 𝗦𝗔𝗩𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧! You will want to remember this. If you know someone else who uses AI for content, 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢.

With the EU AI Act taking effect this August, the global standard for AI transparency has been set. But if you think being in the US means you’re off the hook, you need to pay attention.

While the US Congress debates federal AI laws, the FTC is already enforcing a strict "Double Disclosure" rule. If you post sponsored AI content, you must disclose BOTH the ad sponsorship AND the use of AI. Failing to do so could cost you up to $53,088 per post. 💸

And it’s not just the FTC. States like New York and California have rolled out strict AI disclosure laws for advertising, and platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube have made AI labeling mandatory.

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁:

✅ Label realistic AI-generated people or scenes.
✅ Disclose synthetic voices and audio clones.
✅ Use native platform tools (like TikTok's AI badge or IG's "Made with AI" tag).
✅ Remember: Cosmetic edits (like lighting or filters) don't need labels, but substantive changes do.

Transparency isn't just about avoiding fines; it's about maintaining the trust of your audience. Consumers want to know what's real.

We’re probably not the agency for everyone.

Some agencies send polished reports once a month and disappear.

Meanwhile, we’re over here getting invited to birthday parties.

Getting wedding photos texted to us.

Dropping care packages on clients’ porches when they’re sick.

Celebrating record sales like we own a piece of the company.

We know… boundaries.

Here’s the thing.

Marketing is personal.

Your business isn’t just another account number. It’s your paycheck. Your employees. Your late nights. Your “I hope this works” moments.

So yeah… we’re going to care.

We’re going to cheer when you win.

There’s AI everything these days and a lot of it is just noise…but this one is on my you gotta try it list.

is doing things my ClickUp, Otter, and other note takers don’t. It’s going outside the video chat. It’s listening to my real world conversations and creating receipts.

At today’s event the sweet woman next to me had to leave early and she was so upset she would miss out on the talk.

I told her give me your business card. I’ve got my notetaker recording and I’ll send you the recap. She was so thankful.

All I had to do when the event was over was hit share link and type in her email. 💥 Done!

I downloaded this for business but the man at home better watch out. Those conversations about who is going to do what…about to be recorded and noted. 😂

Honestly, that will work more in his favor than mine. 🤔

AI is so fun. It makes creating content so easy. It gives you so many options you otherwise wouldn’t have.

AND IT COULD BR HURTING YOUR ENGAGEMENT 😱

Don’t 🔫 the messenger.

But the big T did some analyzing of over 1 MILLION posts and discovered posts that used AI generated content (even if some of the content was real with AI enhancements) got 7-8% fewer likes and 7% less engagements overall.

Soooo…that kind of sucks.

But as Momma always says, it pays to be yourself. Go be authentic and show up in your content for REAL.

Vibe Check: understood the assignment 😎

A few weeks ago, some fellow Boro dwellers and I were talking about how much we miss Red Rose Creamery.
