The Corona Sunrise (or Sunset) is an easy to make, refreshing beer cocktail made right in the bottle. It combines 1 bottle of Corona with your favorite tequila, a splash of orange juice, and grenadine. Combining these ingredients in the Corona bottle creates a simple, fresh tasting cocktail that is perfect for the beach, park, or poolside.
Adding orange juice to beer (sometimes called a breakfast beer or beermosa) adds body and gives the beer a new, refreshing taste. Adding a touch of grenadine sweetens it up a bit and the tequila brings it to the next level. Who needs a beer and a shot when you can have a shot in your beer? Better than other classic shot-and-beer combinations like the Boilermaker or Sake Bomb, this version is lighter, more refreshing, and even comes in its own “glass.”

In the meantime, the Elevated Breakers will keep breaking, hopefully back at Busker Fest 2026 in Salt Lake City. Last year’s Busker Fest was my first time seeing break, as Cash and Benson represented the culture well, breaking on a cardboard box to the raucous cheers of hundreds of attendees. There, I understood what Benson meant when he told me during the interview.
