From his office in Murray City Hall, Brett now looks out over the community he and Cindy chose more than four decades ago. The path started in Magna, where he learned respect wasn't an option. It held steady through an Alaskan cabin and a Murray kitchen, wound through illness and a wheelchair, and meandered away from the goodbye that never had to happen.
Through all of it, Cindy has remained his closest friend and steadiest partner. "He treats you like you're his best friend," she said. Maybe that's why the quality so many Murray residents see in Mayor Hales feels less like political strategy and more like a lifelong habit. Whether he's welcoming a nervous missionary, a houseful of teenagers, or a resident into his office, Brett is still doing what he and Cindy have done for 44 years: opening the door, and making room.

Asked what he'd want people to say about Blue Pine five years from now, he doesn't hesitate: that it helped people live a more fulfilling, healthier life, and prioritize what actually matters to them long-term.
It's a fitting goal for someone whose own path through concert halls, ski chalets, jewelry counters, and finally into healthcare, was never really about any single job. It was about the people he met along the way, and what they built together.

September's Drink of the Month was created in the early 2000’s at the legendary New York City bar, Milk & Honey, The Gold rush is a modern variation of the classic whiskey sour. Instead of sugar or simple syrup, the Gold rush uses honey as its sweetener. Honey provides a sweet, earthy taste and a beautiful golden hue.
The cocktail itself combines the beautiful tastesof bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and honey simple syrup. The finished product leaves you with a wonderfully balanced, smooth cocktail that just might cause you to ditch the simple syrup in your sours for good.

Morgan has every intention of continuing to spread her love of art, whether through the canvas or the flesh. Both are meaningful for her and her clients — both bring memories alive or current loves closer to the heart. The team shows up at local home shows throughout the year and has become a fixture at the community's annual art festival — one of Kat's favorite parts of the job.
