We are pleased to announce the completion of Stage 5 of our Art Sign Works, Inc. facility expansion/improvement plan.
We began in 2005 in one bay of my garage, with only me and a half time employee. Four years ago we bought a 10,700 square feet industrial building in Murrieta, CA., and leased another 2500 square ft in another building across the street. We had been leasing an increasing number of spaces in this building since 2006, and when the investment owner put this building on the market for sale, we had to buy it or be evicted and close the company.
The original building has 6 offices but they were scattered all over 4 corners of the building making it difficult to communicate with each other.
We decided to build out 2100 square feet of the building into a modern office area where we could co-locate our 3 designers and 3 sales/project managers into modern separate offices. After 6 months of construction, it has been completed, and it looks great! . We finally have an attractive reception area, a conference room, a full kitchen, two bathrooms and 7 private offices, with room for up to 10 administrative employees should we continue to grow . Our hardworking and loyal employees (who have been with ius from 8 to 20 years) deserved a more pleasant place to work.
Our 17 shop workers are in the other 11,000 square feet of our company. located in 6 different shops: (1) a CNC router room, (2) a wood shop, (3) a metal shop (4) a spray paint shop, (5) a fine paint & finishing shop, and (6) a crating & packing shop. They will also benefit because of the additional 1500 ft2 of space they have gained by converting the previous offices into shop space. We value our employees just as much as we value our customers and vendors and do our best to be fair, honest and competent with all of them.
