September is Sickle Awareness month and our sweet Addi has sickle cell and will undergo bone marrow transplant on 9/18. Her donor will be her 7 year old big brother. We are selling shirts to assist with her 100 day stay in Birmingham. Thank you to those who have purchased a shirt. If you purchased a shirt please wear it on Wednesday 9/18 and tag KT Embroidery and Things. Your name will be placed in a drawing for 15 dollars off an order.

This month is national recognition for two very important issues to me. Adolescents mental illness is very personal to me because too many times adolescence do not have the adequate words to express their feelings and when they do it is down played in so many communities. Not always intentionally, but because of ignorance and uncomfortableness. Sickle Cell anemia affects my sweet niece so of course it’s personal! Educate yourself even if it doesn’t directly affect you. It could one day be! 🤞🏽
