Blackout Dragon Shirts Fundraiser šŸ–¤šŸ’›

We’re excited to launch our Blackout Dragon Shirts in support of the Student Response Team (SRT) program at Nacogdoches High School. Each shirt is $15, and 30% of all proceeds will go directly toward the SRT program.

This program gives students a strong educational foundation along with hands‑on training in law enforcement, corrections, fire services, and the court system. When you purchase a shirt, you’re not just showing your Dragon Pride — you’re investing in the future of students preparing for real careers in public safety.

Join us for the Black Out Football Game on September 11. Be sure to order your Black Out shirt before the September 4 deadline.

You can order online by scanning the flyer or clicking the link https://tinyurl.com/36tatc8k.

Let's show up, show out, and support our Dragons.

✨How My Journey Started✨

My embroidery journey began just a year ago, but the path that led me here started long before I ever picked up a needle.
The end of 2024 and beginning of 2025 were some of the hardest months of my life. I was going through the process of finalizing my divorce, my home life had changed completely, and everything I had known for years felt like it had been pulled out from under me. I was trying to understand who I was without the labels I had carried for so long. If I could use one word to describe the months that followed it would be "yearn". I yearned for growth, forgiveness, and peace.
So I did something bold. For the first time in a long time, I chose to make Michelle happy. I took a solo trip to a place I had always dreamed of visiting; the west coast. I went skydiving šŸ›©ļø, hiked a mountain šŸŒ„ went to see the Sequoia trees🌲 and stood in front of the waves in Malibu, CA. On that trip, I cried more tears than I expected, but I also found something I desperately needed: SPACE. Space to breathe, to think, and to ask myself what I truly wanted out of life. I finally understood that my joy couldn’t depend on anyone else or a label — it was between me and God. And in that quiet, the idea of embroidery found me. It was a way to rebuild, to create, to rediscover who I was becoming and finally let go of the past.
In California, I had two meaningful encounters. One was with a British man, same age as me, with an occupation of being a commerical videographer. He spent 10 years working contract jobs with different companies. He said it was good money but it was no longer fulfilling him. He went to LA to pursue his dream of becoming a videographer for documentary type of work. Meeting him felt like I was meeting a charcter from a book who was about to embark on a journey, in a big city, with no "real" plans. He inspired me start this embroidery journey even though I had no idea where to begin. The other person I met was an older Muslim woman. She was working towards her goal of becoming an RN nurse after spending years being a certified nurse assistant. The woman told me it was never too late to set new goals. During our encounter, she allowed me to express my personal spiritual values and inexchange she expressed her values in the muslim religion. She made me realize that connection was possible between two people who live life differently. Although she made it evident Jesus was not real to her, at least God was. She prayed for me on that plane before we parted ways. And here I am now, still yearning for personal growth.

My biggest challenge right now is juggling several projects at once, but if you have a pending order, please know it’s in progress. I appreciate your patience and support while I work through each one with care.

Name one thing you didn’t have growing up but now give your kids without thinking twice.

I’ll go first.

I never had my own beach towel. If we went swimming, it was survival of the fittest — grab whatever damp, sandy towel wasn’t already claimed.
