The Messy Middle explores the part of grief we don’t talk about enough—the space between knowing we deserve better and still grieving what we had, what we hoped for, and what we thought the future would be.

In this episode of In the Wild Podcast, I’m getting honest about grieving relationships that were not healthy for me, reaching for alcohol when the emotions become too heavy, and learning that healing doesn’t happen in a straight line. We’ll unpack the stages of grief—denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance—and how we can move between them from one day, or even one moment, to the next.

Because acceptance doesn’t mean the pain suddenly disappears. Missing someone doesn’t mean we’re meant to return. And struggling again doesn’t erase all the progress we’ve already made.

Sometimes we aren’t back at the beginning—we’re simply standing in the messy middle, learning how to feel the pain without abandoning ourselves.

Friendly Fire explores the kind of betrayal that doesn’t come from an enemy—it comes from someone you trusted to be on your side. Whether it happens in a romantic relationship, friendship, family, or any meaningful human connection, betrayal can leave us grieving the person we thought we knew, questioning our worth, and struggling to trust ourselves again.
In this episode of In the Wild Podcast, we’re unpacking why betrayal hurts so deeply, the grief that follows, and how to move forward through acceptance, boundaries, and rebuilding self-trust—without allowing someone else’s choices to harden our hearts. Because sometimes the deepest wounds come from familiar hands, but they don’t have to become permanent ones.

Addiction isn't always drugs or alcohol. Sometimes it's emotional, mental, relational, or simply the ways we've learned to survive.

This week we're talking about addiction, accountability, and grace—the kind of grace that comes when you realize it's easy to say "I would never" or "Why don't they just leave?" until life puts you somewhere you never imagined you'd be.

Everyone is fighting something, and sometimes understanding comes through experience. We're learning to judge a little less, give a little more grace, own our mistakes, apologize when needed, and keep choosing growth.

Because grace doesn't erase accountability—it makes room for growth.

In this episode of In the Wild Podcast, Cookie breaks down what boundaries actually are—not the watered-down, misunderstood version, but the real thing. We’ll talk about how to recognize when a boundary is needed, what it looks like to communicate it clearly, and what it means when someone refuses to respect it.

Through real-life experiences in relationships, we’ll explore the difference between setting a boundary and trying to control someone’s behavior.

Because not everyone has to be cut off—but that doesn’t mean everyone gets unlimited access to you either.
