Songbird Music Works’ founder, Lisa DuFort, launched the company in twenty twenty, as an answer to the multi-dimensional needs of the rising artist. Previous to the company’s launch Lisa fostered a multi-dimensional foundation of knowledge working as the Events Manager for Essential Broadcast Media (www.ebmediapr.com) in Nashville, TN. on, and artist/talent branding and management, and PR. Lisa holds a degree in Music from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, with a minor in Music Business from the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. Upon graduation, she relocated to Los Angeles to begin her career in the Music/Entertainment industries. In LA she fostered a foundation of expertise that was built working directly with talent on shows such as The X Factor and Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK). Lisa immersed herself in the artist’s sonic and branding experience managing contestant song selection on The X Factor (USA). Further, Lisa brings her experience in song selection from her work creating exclusive playlists for Carnival Cruise Line's fleet, as well as working alongside Paula Abdul managing contestant song selection for The X Factor. Further, Songbird’s founder has worked with such iconic artists as: Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, George Strait, Ashley McBryde, Michael Ray, Sebastian Maniscalco, Erin Enderlin, Dylan Brady and Pilgrimage Festival. Songbird Music Works vision is to answer to the dynamic needs of the emerging artist, from A&R to branding SMW ushers rising talent into the spotlight, creating a carefully curated brand that is wholly reflective of each artist’s personal sound and aesthetics.
