There’s something special about looking back at the year and seeing what you once set out to do (and prayed for) now becoming your reality. So many times as business owners, we skip this part. The part where we slow down long enough to recognize the changes, shifts and hard work that got us where we are now.

The first half of this year has held a lot of change for me and for C&C. I hired a business coach for the first time ever after six years in business, we transitioned from a team of contractors to a team of full-time employees, and we’ve gained new ideal clients that we’re so proud to work with.

This weekend, I celebrated my birthday by exploring Yellowstone National Park and taking time to sit in gratitude for everything that's unfolded so far this year. I’ve always loved growing a business. The constant need to learn something new, the connections I’ve made, the challenges that grow me as a leader and a person, and the reward that comes with taking the risk. After celebrating another trip around the sun and reflecting on another year in business, I’ve felt called to start sharing more of those lessons, insights, and experiences with you.

So, I’m starting something new: The Caffeinated Founder.

It’ll be a monthly founder-led newsletter where I’ll share more of what I’m learning in real time about business, leadership, building a team, taking risks, making mistakes, trusting your gut and everything else that comes with building something of your own.

Sitting down for coffee with other founders and creatives and talking about business is genuinely one of my favorite things to do. Consider The Caffeinated Founder the digital version of that. And just like a real coffee date, I want it to be a two-way conversation. I’d love to hear your thoughts, get your feedback, hear about your own experiences, and continue these conversations IRL when we get the chance!
