Sometimes the shoot is done, the deliverables are solid, and I should probably pack upā€¦ but my brain is still going.

I hear music, I see colors, I notice the way the light hits someoneā€™s face, and I canā€™t help myself. I have to turn it into something more before I can move on. Even when it starts as a business or event shoot, thereā€™s always that moment where the artist in me needs to get it out of my body.

Itā€™s never just business to me. People become characters, moments become scenes, and somehow it all turns into part of the bigger story Iā€™m telling. Itā€™s never just content. Itā€™s always story.

So Mellie Shoots is where I let that part of me breathe. Where the paint hits the floor, where ideas get messy, and where the final brush stroke sometimes happens too.

This one started in front of and turned into something my creative side needed to say.
