This little guy (approximately the size of a business card) was a pretty big deal twenty-five years ago today! With it, the ticketholder could be one of the first visitors into the brand-new Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum during its grand opening on May 17, 2001.
The Museum first opened its doors to visitors from around the world on Music Row in 1967, and by the end of the twentieth century, it needed more room to grow. So, an entire city block was secured in downtown Nashville, and new spaces for archiving, exhibiting, sharing, and celebrating country music were beautifully laid out by the architecture firm Tuck-Hinton (now called Anecdote Architectural Experiences).
In 2013, Hatch Show Print joined the Museum. The shop moved in to its own purpose-built space as part of the second expansion that added even more spaces for preservation, education, and celebration, and there hasn’t been a dull moment since we got here!
We’re glad we could be part of celebrating the Museum twenty-five years ago and every day. Poster-worthy moments, events, programs, and other special experiences abound here and draw visitors from around the world, and just down the road every year.
