Ten years ago, I volunteered at Brand New with no job and no plan. Last week, I stood on that stage holding the same volunteer badge.

I couldn’t have seen that moment coming in 2016. That’s what I hoped someone in the room would hear: you don’t have to see the next ten years to take the next right step.

10 years of Copperheart. A whole decade. 🥹🫶🏼

It’s wild how much a life can change in 10 years.

Early in my career, someone asked me, “How are you celebrating?” She reminded me to pause long enough to celebrate my wins, big and small.

Ten years later, I understand that differently.

Because when I look back, I don’t see something I built alone. I see the people who believed in me, hired me, shared my name, opened doors, encouraged me, and loved me through every version of this business — and every version of me.

What a gift to look back on a decade and see so many people I love woven through it.

Thank you for being part of these 10 years. Truly.

I’ll never take for granted that I got to build something I love, surrounded by people who kept loving me right back. ❤️
