Making progress on my Lord Exultant!

Still toying with the scheme a little. Trying to find a happy spot between the pink and purple, and it has proven tedious. I don’t think this army is going to be a quick project for me 😅 the bases alone are taking me a while to sculpt and compose.

Remember that surprise project I mentioned? 👀

Squeezed in this quick Ork character before my Emperor’s Children got here to send off to the guys at and I even managed to snag a couple of photos prior to shipping him out. I call that progress! 😂

I’ve been focusing on a balance of quality and speed lately. This model is a product of that focus. I’m happy with what I was able to achieve in just a few hours. Growing comfortable with giving less than 110% to every paint job is a chore for me 😅

Stay tuned, because there’s some big things on the horizon!

These Dark Angels have been fun to paint! Proud of myself for finishing this one up pretty quickly between Lumineth commissions.

I’ll be getting some quick group shots of my Thousand Sons once I get them based in the next couple of days. Then I will be waiting for my Emperor’s Children to get here! 🤟

Sometimes it’s super cool to sit back and contemplate the scale of these models that fill our Warhammer feeds.

Deep down we *know* the scale is small (it’s called miniature painting for a reason!) but sometimes it’s fun to break out a coin or match to show the scale on camera. It really puts a lot in perspective!

Most notably, it leaves me astounded at the work some of you are putting out there. It’s truly incredible and such motivation to improve every day. There is so much talent present in this hobby, and I’m thankful to share it with so many awesome people!

I also thought this would be enjoyable to my non-Warhammer/model painting friends who know nothing about these plastic little people we paint! 🤣

This is what it’s all about right?!

Over the last couple of months, I’ve finally made time to get back into rolling some dice. It’s been fantastic getting to spend time with some of the best people I know while rekindling my love for the hobby.

Here’s a quick shot from my Thousand Sons against my buddy’s Ultramarines. Very close match ending in favor of the Sons after both primarchs fell.

What are your thoughts? Oldhammer or New sculpts?

I got to enjoy a little old fashioned metal model fun! Painted up this old Aeldari Eldrad Uthran for a good friend of mine as a Christmas gift. I don’t get many opportunities to paint metal figures, and they certainly bring their own share of unique challenges.

The new GW models are so striking with their dynamic poses and insane details, but the oldhammer style just has a certain feel to it. I’d love to try my hand on more of these!

So.. I was looking at this model I printed a few weeks back. This is printed in PLA on an FDM printer ( P1S) and it just got me thinking how far 3D printing has come.

I started out on a CR-10 base model something like 7 years ago, but I traded out FDM printing for SLA after a bit since I was mostly printing miniatures. When I stepped back into using FDM, I have been blown away at the progress made in only a handful of years.

I also simply love this community. There is a common drive amongst the 3D printing community that always seems to come down to one thing: “Enhance”.

Seeing all of these creators enhance daily tasks/problems/annoyances and compound on one another’s designs is really awe-inspiring. I firmly believe is the same attitude that has created an environment for progress and led to these industry-wide breakthroughs and improvements in such a short amount of time, and it gives me so much hope for the issues we can solve together on an even larger scale.

But for now, here’s a picture of the Hulk 😂

What’s the most extensive kitbash you’ve done?

This has definitely been my most involved conversion/kitbash. This is probably the final WIP post for this guy, and I’ll detail the build and process with the final pictures. Have a couple of final details and the text on the banner left.

All I can say is push yourself! If you want to improve your painting, you have to paint with intention. I’m happy with the improvements I’ve seen in this project, and I’m always looking to grow more 😊
