Is there a dark side to Christmas? Is Christmas only about the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, or is there a dark side to Christmas that we should all be aware of? The answer to THAT second question may surprise you.
A word about prayer before we learn about the two sides of Christmas: when we talk about God’s word in prayer, we find His word in the Bible, and one easy way to think of the Bible is to focus on the 5 letters of the word "Bible" — B I B L E. Think of those 5 letters as standing for "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth." In this way, you can think of the Bible as the owner's manual, the how-to step-by-step instructions on how to live life when life doesn't work.
A lot of people think, “Well the Bible was written over thousands of years, so how can that be relevant to my life today?” Here’s the answer: ”For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12 ESV).
Notice that the scripture says "For the word of God is alive and active." That's how you know that God's word is as alive today as it was over 2,000 years ago when Christ walked the earth.

Cool idea: get paid a referral fee of $1 per hour for every hour that a person works. A friend of mine owns Focus Point, and they recruit travel nurses for all over the US.
