100 years of tradition deserves a mailer that makes an impression.

For Father Ryan High School’s centennial celebration, we produced full-color 5¾" × 8" postcards on 100 lb dull cover. A reticulated UV coating adds distinctive texture and visual contrast, helping the message stand out from the moment it reaches the mailbox.

A well-built bulletin gives every spread room to tell part of the story.

For the Frist Art Museum, this direct mail booklet brought together exhibition imagery, gallery scenes, programming, and membership content in one polished piece. Printed full color and saddle-stitched, it’s designed to be more than a quick announcement. It’s something members and visitors can spend time with.

Direct mail still has a place when the piece feels this intentional.

Phillips produced this Frist Art Museum bulletin as a 50-page plus cover saddle-stitched booklet mailer, printed in full color on 80 lb silk text with a 100 lb silk cover.

It’s a strong example of print helping museums share upcoming exhibitions, programs, and artwork in a format people can hold onto.

Color accuracy does not happen by accident.

In print production, even the smallest shift between colors can affect the final piece. Trapping helps prevent gaps, overlaps, and inconsistencies so the finished product looks clean, polished, and accurate.

It’s one of the behind-the-scenes details that makes great print work possible.

You may see a delivery van.

We see the final step in a lot of hard work: printed pieces packed, sorted, mailed, delivered, and ready to do their job.

At Phillips, we help businesses with commercial printing, direct mail, and fulfillment, but the real goal is simpler: get the right message into the right hands.

If your next campaign needs to be printed, mailed, packed, or delivered, we’re ready to help.

Would you have guessed this starts as one flat printed sheet?

Our KH-82 pallet-fed folder is turning 50 # uncoated text into a fast 32-page signature, using four buckle gates, a knife section, and the SBP-66 stacker delivery.

It is one of those behind-the-scenes print steps that is surprisingly satisfying to watch.

This video shows one of our favorite behind-the-scenes finishing steps.

The Polar N137Pro does the cutting, rotating full 28x40 sheets and using AutoTrim to move waste onto a conveyor. It is also tied into Compucut for automated programming.

But keep your eye on the stacking.

The Polar Transomat robotically stacks the finished material after cutting, creating clean, even piles that are ready for the next step.

It is a small detail that makes a big difference in production.

If this showed up in your mailbox, would you look at it?

That is one of the reasons direct mail still works.

A strong postcard can cut through the usual noise by showing up somewhere physical, visible, and harder to ignore than another digital ad.

For nonprofits, events, local businesses, and community campaigns, direct mail gives your message a real moment with the people you want to reach.

Print isn’t passive when it earns a real look.

Good print should do more than look nice. It should help people know what to do next.

A clear message, visible details, and an easy QR code can make all the difference when you want people to respond.

Print isn’t passive when the call to action is clear.

If your next project needs to inform, promote, collect, invite, or direct, we can help make the piece work harder.
