TSU Marketing

TSU Marketing The Marketing Concentration at TSU's Department of Business Administration is designed to develop students into professionals in today's Business world.

Students interested in the Marketing area will seek a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a concentration in Marketing. The Marketing concentration is offered in the Department of Business Administration at the College of Business of the Tennessee State University (TSU). The Marketing concentration requires 30 hours of marketing courses. These include 5 required Marketing courses

(Applied Marketing Research, Consumer Behavior, Retailing, International Marketing, and Marketing Strategy), 4 Marketing electives, and a business elective. A marketing degree can lead to exciting career opportunities. Marketing is a core function in most organizations, both profit and non-profit. Available data indicates that there is a growing demand for marketing jobs in the coming years in areas such as sales, public relations, advertising management, retailing, media, direct marketing, sports marketing, events marketing, analytics, and social media marketing. Marketing students from TSU have gone to work in organizations ranging from large firms as Tyson Foods, Pepsi, Boeing, Walmart, Kroger, and local start-ups and advertising agencies.
