Today’s the birthday of the person that makes the world go round around here! From combining to full time babysitter, she does it all! Happy birthday!!

She’s the first one called
when something goes wrong,
the steady set of hands
that somehow stay strong.

She’ll stop what she’s doing
without any pause,
because helping her family
is simply her cause.

She carries warm suppers
out into the field,
feeding tired farmers
before the daylight yields.

Dust on the pickup,
sun sinking low,
yet she keeps on giving
more love than we know.

And being a nanny
is never “off duty,”
it’s bedtime stories, snacks,
and unconditional beauty.

She changes her plans
in the blink of an eye,
for grandchildren needing her—
that’s her reason why.

No praise is expected,
no spotlight or fame,
just a heart full of love
behind everything she became.

A mother, a nanny,
the glue holding all together—
the kind of woman
