Is branding or rebranding on your radar for 2017? Here are three tips to help you with preparing for a new logo:
1 - Your logo should be representative of your business, but does not need to tell the entire company story. Don't fall into the trap of making your logo too busy by including icons or graphical representations of every service/product you offer.
2 - Simple is better. Your logo will need to be used in multiple applications. If it is too complex, you will run into trouble when you try to use it for embroidery or other similar line art needs. You can always embellish the logo for use in full color situations, but create a base design that can be used for any type of application.
3 - Do not use stock imagery/graphics for your logo. Stock imagery can be used by anyone that licenses it so you do not want your brand identity to include some element that others can access. Spend an adequate amount in your branding to make sure that you have a unique identity.
