I create digital assets built to grow with your business.

If you’re running your entire business through a page without a dedicated website, you’re essentially renting your success on someone else's land.

Here is the cold, hard truth:

Organic Reach is Dying: On average, only 2% of your followers actually see your posts. If you have 1,000 followers, 980 of them are missing your updates because of the algorithm.

The Credibility Gap: Over 80% of customers Google a business before they buy. If they can’t find a professional website, they often move on to a competitor who looks more "established."

Zero Control: You don’t own your audience on Facebook—Meta does. If the platform goes down or the algorithm shifts, your revenue could drop 75% overnight.

Don't leave your livelihood up to an algorithm. 📉

I specialize in building custom, high-performance React and Tailwind CSS applications that you actually own. No templates, no "rented" space—just a fast, professional home for your brand that turns searches into sales.

Stop hoping people see your posts and start giving them a place to buy.

DM me today to get your business off "rented land" and into a custom site that works 24/7. 🚀

Wait...What?! Wednesday!

Yesterday we talked about Cumulative Layout Shift, but let's be real—that’s just a fancy way of saying your website is doing the "cha-cha" while people are trying to read it.

Imagine you’re driving across a bridge. Suddenly, the road shifts three feet to the left while you’re mid-commute. You’d be pretty annoyed, right?

That is exactly what happens when a website loads an image without telling the browser how big it is. Your text is there, your user is reading, and then—BOOM—the image pops in, the text jumps down, and your customer just accidentally clicked an "Unsubscribe" button instead of "Buy Now."

The Fix for Non-Techies:
When we build your site, we give every "passenger" (your images and videos) a reserved seat. Even before the image shows up, the space is held so the rest of your content stays exactly where it belongs.

Why you should care:

No Accidental Clicks: Keeps your customers from getting frustrated.

Trust: A stable site looks like a professional business, not a construction zone.

Google Likes It: Search engines reward sites that don't jump around.

Stop the "website wiggle" and keep your users on the right path!

Tech Tip Tuesday: Boost Your Core Web Vitals

Performance isn't just about speed; it's about user experience. Today’s tip focuses on Layout Shift, one of the most frustrating things a user can encounter.

The Tip: Always Define Image Dimensions
When you load an image without specified dimensions, the browser doesn't know how much space to reserve. Once the image finally loads, the content below it "jumps" down. This is a major contributor to a poor Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) score.

The Fix:
Always include width and height attributes on your tags, or use CSS aspect-ratio properties.

HTML

Why it Matters:
SEO: Google uses Core Web Vitals as a ranking factor. A stable page is a higher-ranking page.

Conversion: Users are less likely to click the wrong button (or leave in frustration) when the UI stays still.

Professionalism: It’s a small detail that separates "built" sites from "engineered" applications.

😱😱Tech Tip Tuesday: Is Your Website a Customer "Void"?😱😱

It’s Tech Tip Tuesday! Today, we’re looking at a silent profit killer for small businesses: a slow or non-existent website.

If your site takes more than a few seconds to load, your potential customers aren't waiting—they’re "bouncing" straight to your competitors. Think of your website as your digital storefront; if the door is stuck or the lights are off, people will just keep walking.

Why a Website Isn't Just "Optional" Anymore
If you're relying solely on social media, you are missing out on a massive chunk of the market.

😱 The Trust Gap: Businesses with websites are perceived as 41% more trustworthy than those without.

😱 The "Invisible" Factor: Roughly 62% of consumers say they won't even use a business they can't find online.

😱 Decision Power: For consumers under 25, 72% say a website is essential for a local business to be considered credible.

Pro Tip: How to Speed Up a Sluggish Site

You don't need to be a coding wizard to understand these three major performance boosters:

1. Use Modern Media Formats (WebP & WebM)Older formats like JPEG or PNG can be heavy.WebP: This image format is designed specifically for the web. It typically achieves 30% better compression than JPEGs without losing quality. WebM: For video, WebM is the gold standard for performance. It keeps file sizes small while maintaining high definition, which is critical for mobile users.

2. Implement "Lazy Loading"Instead of forcing a visitor's browser to download every single image and video the second they land on your page, Lazy Loading tells the browser only to load content as the user scrolls down to see it. This slashes your initial load time and keeps visitors from hitting the "back" button.

3. Optimize for the "3-Second Rule"Google found that 53% of mobile users will abandon a site if it takes longer than 3 seconds to load. Every second you shave off your load time directly protects your revenue.

The Bottom Line: Don't let your profits fade away! Investing in a fast, responsive website is the best way to ensure your business stays "Open" 24/7 and keeps customers engaged. At ZH Web Solutions, we specialize in building high-performance sites that load instantly and convert visitors into loyal clients.

Wait.., What? Wednesday: 🤔
Yesterday I talked about SSL certificates and HTTPS… so let’s break that down in normal human language.

That little padlock icon next to a website address means the site has a layer of security on it.
It helps protect information people type into your website, like contact forms, passwords, or payment details.

If your website starts with https://, that usually means it’s secure.
If it only says http:// or shows a “Not Secure” warning, that can make people leave your site fast.

Here’s the easiest way to think about it:
HTTPS is like putting your website conversations in a locked envelope instead of sending them on a postcard.

Why does that matter?
Because your customers want to feel safe, and Google likes secure websites too.

So even if you’re not selling anything online, having a secure website still matters for:

Trust

Search rankings

Contact form safety

Looking professional

Quick check:
Go to your website and look at the top of the screen.
Do you see a padlock or https://?

If not, it may be time for a quick fix.

Drop your website below if you want me to check it for you. 👇

Stop the "Digital Rental" Racket. Own Your Storefront. 🧀🏛️

Hey neighbors! I’m Zach, a software engineer here in the New Berlin/West Bend area.

I’ve been talking to a lot of local business owners lately, and I keep hearing the same thing: You’re either stuck on Facebook because a real website costs $2,000+ upfront, or you’re "renting" a generic site from Wix or Squarespace that you’ll never actually own.

I’m changing the math for Wisconsin small businesses. I’m officially launching Growth Partnerships at ZH Web Solutions.

I build high-performance, custom-coded storefronts (using React—the same tech as Netflix) with zero upfront build fees.

Choose Your Pace:
🏡 The Cornerstone ($200/mo): A rock-solid foundation with monthly updates included. Live in 7 days.
🚀 The Climber ($300/mo): Elite 48-hour launch, unlimited updates, and total Google search dominance.

The "No-Strings" Guarantee:
Unlike those "Digital Landlords" (the clowns in the flyer below 🤡), my goal is for you to own your asset. After 12 months of partnership, I hand over the keys. You own the code, the domain, and the infrastructure 100%.

I’m looking to help 3 local businesses get live by the weekend. If you’re ready to stop renting your reputation and start building equity, let’s talk.

🔒 Tech Tip Tuesday: Does Your Website Have an SSL Certificate?

You've probably seen that little padlock icon in your browser's address bar — but do you know what it actually means for your business?

What it means:
When a website has an SSL certificate, its URL starts with HTTPS (not HTTP). That "S" stands for secure — it means any data sent between a visitor's browser and your website is encrypted. Think passwords, contact form info, payment details — all scrambled so hackers can't intercept it.

Why it matters for your Google ranking:
Google officially made HTTPS a ranking signal back in 2014 — meaning sites with SSL get a boost in search results. But it goes further than that: sites without SSL get flagged as "Not Secure" directly in Chrome, which kills visitor trust instantly. Google has even been known to block cookies on non-SSL sites, which can wreck your analytics and ad campaigns.

How to check yours:
Look at your website's URL right now. Does it start with https://? If it starts with just http:// — or if you see a warning instead of a padlock — your site needs an SSL certificate ASAP.

The good news? Most hosting providers offer SSL certificates for free through Let's Encrypt. It's one of the easiest fixes with the biggest impact. 💪
