Can we talk about Gideon for a second?

He wins the battle. The people want to crown him king. He says no, that's God's place, not mine. Solid answer.

But then he turns around and builds a golden ephod from the spoils, and it becomes something his own family worships. When he's gone, everything reverts. All that impact, gone.

Honestly? This hits different when you think about building a business. We chase the win so hard: the launch, the big client, the good month, and we rarely stop to ask what we're actually building once we get there.

My business runs on three pillars: authenticity, creativity, and being bold.
Not because they sound good together, because I grew up watching how easy it is to become who other people tell you to be.

I know what it's like to build something while life keeps happening.

I've built businesses while raising kids.

I've been a single mom building a career and figuring out how to make everything work at the same time. I'm now married, still raising kids, still running a business, and still very aware that there are only 24 hours in a day.

I've worked behind a camera, behind the scenes of businesses, with clients, on teams, in leadership, and in rooms where I learned just as much about what I didn't want to do as what I did.

Some seasons were really good.

Some were hard.

Some made absolutely no sense until years later.

But every one of them taught me something about people, business, storytelling, and what it actually takes to build something of your own.

Proverbs 31:19 stopped me this morning.

"She lays her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff."

This woman didn't overthink it. She didn't wait for the perfect moment or the right conditions. She picked up her tools and she built.
