✨ Throwback Design Work ✨

Back in the day, I had the joy of creating brochures, posters, flyers, ads, social media graphics and even a full website redesign for one of my favorite Bend businesses

Sadly, they closed their doors on August 28, 2018, but the memories live on, take a look at some of these vintage designs.

I miss that place — and the amazing owner Katie a dear friend I first met in Hawaii in 1999.

Lately, I’ve been thinking… Katie, you have to do some Print on Demand throwback merch for us old-school Bendites. I still see people rwearing their Aspect hats and hoodies (mine is way too gross to wear at this point and I sure could use a replacement).

What do you say, Katie? One more round for the locals?

🔌 Fresh look for Ascension Electrical Services!

We gave their logo a refresh with a clean, modern font and built out multiple variations so they’re ready for anything:

✔️ Transparent backgrounds
✔️ Circle, square, and horizontal layouts
✔️ Icon-only versions for social + website
✔️ Navy, white, and black color options
✔️ A brand sheet covering colors, fonts, and usage guidelines

Now AES has a brand identity that works seamlessly across print, web, and social — polished, professional, and versatile.

Print work will always have my heart.

I’ve designed POS displays and collateral for top brands you’ve seen in stores like Costco, Meyers, and liquor shops all across the U.S.

These projects were some of the most challenging and rewarding. Every layout had to balance bottles, artwork, logos, alcohol warnings, sweepstakes info—you name it—while still looking clean, eye-catching, and easy to read.

I like to think I have a bit of a magic touch when it comes to layout and making it all fit beautifully. Here are just a few samples from my portfolio.

Today is International Day of Charity!

I’m grateful to have worked with some incredible local nonprofits whose missions make a real difference in our community.

One of my favorite projects was designing the Hops for Hope event branding — a pub-passport themed fundraiser complete with a custom stamp book for participants. It was such a fun way to combine design with a great cause.

I also had the honor of creating the logo for NB Women Go, a women’s giving circle that pools resources together to support local charities. Their mission of collective impact and community support is inspiring, and I loved helping them capture that spirit visually.

Design has the power to tell stories, build connections, and amplify impact. I’m proud to contribute my skills to organizations that are doing so much good here in New Braunfels.

Just wrapped up a new logo project for C. M. Parma Photography , a local NBTX sports photographer!

He originally came to me with an AI-generated concept, but what he really needed was a professional logo and watermark that would work across his brand. I took the inspiration and created two variations:

✔ A detailed version with elements like a tennis racket and soccer ball to highlight the sports he’s mainly been photographing.

✔ A simplified version that works perfectly as a watermark or in places where a clean, versatile mark is needed.

Sometimes, less really is more—and having both options gives him the flexibility his brand needs.

Brett Gesh Guide Service Website

This design for Brett Gesh (who has the best job ever), a hunting and fishing guide in Oregon, was such a fun project. I contracted with another company to complete this one, along with the Saltwater Flyfishing Guide site.

Sometimes it’s nice to step into a project as part of a larger team—collaborating with other creatives, bouncing ideas around, and bringing the client’s vision to life together.

Throwback to my first big branding project back in 2017 — Tava Waters and Cairn at Tava Waters.
This was a full team effort: we handled the naming, and I designed the logo, color palette, fonts, and full brand guidelines. I also designed and built the original website. While the site has since been redesigned, the branding I created is still in place today.
It was such a milestone project for me and really set the tone for the large-scale branding work I continue to love doing.

The Point Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic Website

This project turned out beautifully—clean design, easy-to-read content, and simple navigation so clients can quickly find what they’re looking for.

I’ll be honest, this build came with its challenges. Partway through, changes with the hosting company caused some unexpected hiccups. Since then, I’ve moved to a faster, more modern hosting platform that I absolutely love working with.

While the process wasn’t perfectly smooth, it reminded me that not every project is. What matters most is finding the right solution to fix problems and deliver a site that works beautifully for the client.

It’s National Dog Day and this is Sunny, our sweet COVID pup. We adopted her from the humane society, and she’s been the best addition to our family. She may have a bit of a begging (and drooling) problem, but we love her anyway. My favorite part? She curls up in her little bed by our feet every day while we work.
Happy National Dog Day to all the pups who keep us company and make life brighter! 🐾
