Alexa officially turned 8 years old yesterday and we can’t believe it’s been nearly a decade since Amazon launched this voice assistant. Consumer conversational ai is continuing to grow, and we’re seeing people use their voices for more types of experience control than ever before. I have a few favorite features of Alexa. Pet routines are now international. We created a music experience with our partners at Warner Music Group that helps calm pets at home. Users in the UK can now say “Alexa, help my dog relax” and soothing music from Warner Classics will start playing for your furry friend.
