Client Spotlight Series: National Coast Guard Museum

National Coast Guard Museum Association is building something meaningful right here in New London — and we had the honor of helping tell a story that represents its heart.

Objective: Celebrate a legacy and inspire support for the future museum.

Challenge: How do you capture a lifetime of service, passion, and patriotism in a way that moves people to act?

Solution:
Astor Place Inc. created a documentary-style piece featuring Lois Bouton — a WWII Coast Guard veteran, Honorary Chief Petty Officer, and lovingly known as “The Coast Guard Lady.”
Through her own words, we shared a story of lifelong dedication — and her wish that, in honor of her 96th birthday, people would support the museum instead of sending gifts.

Impact:
A deeply human story that connects generations, builds emotional resonance, and drives awareness and support for a mission larger than any one person.
