Some big news from Team Spears! We’re honored to announce some recent wins from prominent national PR, marketing and design awards 🎉

As a testament to our growing portfolio of K12 and higher education experience, we received an Award of Excellence from the 2026 University & College Designers Association (UCDA) Design Awards. Out of 776 entries, judges selected our NSNO project amongst only 184 winners nationwide to be recognized at the organization’s annual awards show in Kansas City, Nov. 4-7:

Last but certainly not least, we’re wrapping up this semester’s spotlight series by introducing our final Summer Junior Associate, Magdalene Ditta!

A New Orleans native and Digital Marketing student at Louisiana State University, Magdalene is passionate about branding, social media, and creative storytelling. She enjoys finding new ways to help businesses connect with their audiences through engaging, impactful content. When she’s not studying marketing, you can find her exploring local restaurants, traveling, or staying active.

Among many other things this summer, Magdalene has been helping develop website content and blog articles for the National Fried Chicken Festival, putting her storytelling skills to work on one of our biggest annual campaigns. It’s been such a pleasure having her as part of Team Spears, and we’re excited to see all she’ll accomplish as she continues her marketing journey!

Taking this opportunity to brag on our Account Coordinator Yulenda Timothy, who will be representing Team Spears next week at AEJMC’s national conference in New Orleans, speaking on not one, but TWO panels of leading educators and industry experts on the future of advertising.

Yulenda will lend her perspective to discussions on how AI and social media are reshaping the profession, as well as the evolving world of influencer marketing and content creation.

Next up in our spotlight series, meet Summer Junior Associate, Fatima Katembo. A senior at Xavier University of Louisiana, majoring in Sales and Marketing, Fatima is a proud member of the Women's Basketball Team, balancing academics, athletics, and professional development.

As a first-generation college student, she is passionate about marketing, storytelling, and building relationships that create opportunities and strengthen communities. We look forward to seeing everything she’ll accomplish once she graduates in Fall 2026!

Today’s goes out to Finance Junior Associate, Daniel Nguyen! A native of Baton Rouge, Daniel is a rising junior at Louisiana State University, where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Analytics. On campus, he volunteers at the LSU Food Pantry and currently serves as Treasurer of the Asian Student Union as well as Secretary of the Asian Business Club. Inspired by stories of entrepreneurship, he is passionate about how businesses can start from scratch and grow into something meaningful. This summer, Daniel is working closely with our VP of Operations, gaining tons of hands-on experience in what it takes to run an agency. All of us (but especially Ronald) are so grateful to have him.
