There's a way unto which a singer/songwriter moves it's listeners that's comparable to the way a sunrise or sunset pulls you in & fills your heart with unspoken sense of belonging to that moment with appreciation for life - this is what Lynn Drury Music does for me and many. She is truly one-of-a-kind - not another you'll find. LOVE YOU LYNN!!!!!! Congratulations!

This evening, I wrote to the Somerville City Council to reiterate my call for a and to express my support for the resolution filed by Council President Ben Ewen-Campen, in support of an enduring ceasefire in Gaza. I stand in solidarity with Jews, Muslims, Palestinians, Israelis, and people of all faiths and backgrounds who are calling for peace, for de-escalation, for the safe return of hostages, for the delivery of humanitarian aid, and for an end to the killing of innocent civilians. I condemn Hamas and its horrific attack on Israel, and I support Israel's right to defend itself. At the same time, I recognize the systemic oppression of the Palestinian people by the Israeli government and how this has contributed to a horrific cycle of violence. I believe that Palestine deserves to be free. In the words of our Congresswoman, Ayanna Pressley, "Vengeance is not a foreign policy doctrine."

"We are like flies crawling across the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel: We cannot see what angels and gods lie underneath the threshold of our perceptions. We do not live in reality; we live in our paradigms, our habituated perceptions, our illusions; the illusions we share through culture we call reality, but the true historical reality of our condition is invisible to us."

William Irwin Thompson

“Let there be spaces in your togetherness, and let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together, yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.“
— Kahlil Gibran

An excerpt from The Function of Reason by Alfred North Whitcomb

''Again consider the voyage of the battleship Utah round the South Americancontinent. Consider first the ship itself. We are asked to believe that the concourse of atoms, of iron, and of nitrogen, and of other sorts of chemical elements, into the form of the ship, of its armour, of its guns, of its engines, of its ammunition , of its stores of food, - that this concourse was purely the outcome of the same physical laws by which the ocean waves aimlessly beat on the coasts of Maine. There could beno more aim in one episode than in the other. The activity of the shipbuilders was merely analogous to the rolling of the shingle on the beach.''
