Chicken's Kitchen is making moves! Congratulations are in order.

We’re relocating and consolidating both of our restaurants into the same location. Main reason for the move is ownership. We were renting our two previous locations and we own this one. 921 Peters Rd Harvey, LA 70058. Opening Friday, May 8th.

Our business hours will be Monday - Friday Breakfast 6:30am-10:30am Lunch 11:00am-4:00pm. We’ll eventually phase in evenings on select days (tentative) 6:30pm-12/1:00am. Also, brunch on weekends.

We’re super excited about this new move and expansion. We’re also excited to provide y’all the same great food with more seating options and a bar! 🔥 We’ll still be serving cafeteria style for breakfast and lunch. We aren’t reinventing the wheel, just turning it into a new location. 😂

Hope that answers most of y’all questions. Anything else, y’all will just have to wait and see because idk either! 🤷🏾‍♂️🤣 See yall on May 8th! 🕺🏽

A few requests to business owners:
- If your business is closed during regular business hours, INFORM your customers the way you inform them of everything else (social media) AND post a sign on the outside of your door. Idc what the reason is. If you can’t do it, ask someone else to.
- If you don’t have items on your menu, INFORM your customers. Share this info on social media so I don’t make a blank trip. Tell me as you hand me the menu / when I walk in. Don’t wait until I decide to tell me whats not available.
- If you don’t know how to cook food to temperature, INFORM me. When I ask for medium, that’s what I want — even if you like rubber. So if you can’t or won’t do it, tell me so that I can order something else.
- If your cashier or wait staff have nasty attitudes and are going to engage with me as if they’d rather be elsewhere, send one of us home.
- If your hours state that you close at 9, but your kitchen takes its last order @ 8, INFORM your customers in your advertising and when we call in asking when you close.
- Add your business phone, hours, and address to your profiles, websites, advertisements.
- State the name of the “fish” whether it’s red snapper, trout, swai, drum, catfish, or whatever else.

Communication is key! I am a customer who prefers to make INFORMED decisions and if key information isn’t something I can expect, that’s ok; I may not be part of your target audience and i’d rather know that before arriving with expectations that won’t be met.

These requests aren’t for everyone, but, if the shoe fits?! 👀

4 new categories are being added to the directory:
- Nail salons / techs (1 space left)
- Spas & Estheticians (2-3 spaces left)
- Gyms & Trainers (list is full. More slots will be allotted next update)
- Clothing Lines / Designers (list is full. More slots will be allotted next update)

Lists will be expanded during the next update.

In December, 4 new categories were added. Those lists are doubling during this update:
- Photographers (list is full)
- Makeup artists (~10 spaces left)
- Barbers(hops) (~10 spaces left)
- Hair Stylists & Salons (1 space left)

See the N.O. Black Owned Business Directory that was released in December 2025. It is pinned to my profile (at the time of this post). Submit all edits TODAY for the March 2026 update. For additions: I need the business name as it should appear in the directory and the category it belongs in. ALSO TAG THE BUSINESS but don’t forget to write out the business name and category.
