We are excited to announce that our grant winner has been selected!

Congratulations to Dr. Ariana Newman of 1735 Inc. New Orleans! 1735 Inc. is focused on addressing one of New Orleans’ most persistent challenges: the impact of vacant and adjudicated properties on quality of life and neighborhood stability. Through in-depth research, public records, and clear, plain-language education, 1735 Inc. works to demystify the legal process and create pathways for responsible property reuse.

“For 1735, this grant validates the work we’ve been building from the ground up,” said Dr. Ariana Newman. “It gives us the tools to tell our story, reach more people, and scale our impact across New Orleans.”

Our runner-up for our grant was Nuturing Roots

This non-profit organization works to empower parents, support educators, and provide students with the tools they need to succeed academically and socially. Through parent training, educator workshops, and student-focused programming, the organization addresses systemic inequities and helps dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline by fostering stronger, more collaborative learning environments. As this year’s runner-up, Nurturing Roots was awarded a marketing audit and strategy session.
