Sheri Horvath has been a great friend, on-screen talent, and resource for Gravity Lens LLC over the last couple years. She has now started her own coaching company Operator's Edge Co. for businesses that want to learn how to better grow their teams and operations.
For more than a decade, I owned and operated my own business.
Like many business owners, I wore every hat.
Sales.
Service.
Operations.
Marketing.
Revenue driver.
Customer experience.
Problem solver.
And even janitor.
As the business grew, so did the complexity. What worked when it was just me no longer worked when other people became part of the equation.
Over the years, I went on to lead teams, build systems, improve operations, and help other organizations grow, too. But regardless of the industry, company size, or business model, I kept seeing many of the same challenges.
Important knowledge lived in one person’s head. The owner/operator became the default answer for every question. EVERY decision..
Good people wanted to do great work but didn’t always have the clarity, tools, or structure to succeed. I've watched good people….skilled people…flounder without direction and eventually get let go. I've watched unskilled people hold the position far longer than they should have because accountability and metrics were never part of the equation. Both can be costly.
Growth created opportunities, but it also exposed gaps that had been hiding in plain sight.
Those experiences are what led me to create Operator’s Edge Co..
Not because I have all the answers.
Because I’ve spent years working through many of the same challenges business owners face every day.
I believe businesses grow best when people have clear expectations, strong systems, and the support they need to succeed. I've seen businesses support growth with documted processes that have been stress-tested. I've seen owner/operators handoff responsibilities that were once things only they could carry.
That’s what Operator’s Edge Co. is all about.
Helping business owners build the operational foundation that creates consistency, accountability, capacity, and ultimately, the freedom to focus on what comes next.
