(b. 1992) is a New York–based visual artist originally from Sydney, Australia. Internationally recognized for his distinct aerial perspective, Walls transforms movement, form, and everyday environments into meticulously composed, minimalist works. Whether working from the sky or ground, he captures striking visual narratives rooted in symmetry, negative space, and spatial harmony. His subjects ranging from synchronized swimmers and architectural facades to ballet dancers mid-pose become studies in geometry and rhythm, where elegance and structure intersect.
Walls rose to prominence with his breakout series Pools From Above, published in 2022 and featured in The New York Times. The series earned international acclaim and positioned him at the forefront of a new wave of fine art photography. At the core of his practice is a deep commitment to composition; each frame is carefully sketched, mapped, and refined before the camera is even raised. This intentional, design-first approach allows him to distill motion into graphic stillness, balancing spontaneity with control. In his latest series PASSÉ, he collaborated with over 60 ballet dancers from New York’s top companies and schools to reinterpret the classical artform through a contemporary lens. The result is an aerial study of ballet that explores the tension between performance and pattern, discipline and design.
Walls’s upcoming solo exhibitions are designed to be immersive and sensory-rich, playful in spirit, yet refined in ex*****on. With a deliberate move away from the traditional gallery model, his vision is to create experiences that invite wonder, participation, and joy. By blurring the lines between photography, performance, and spatial design, Walls offers a modern, unexpected way of seeing one that is both precise and deeply human.
