07/20/2026

Dash Media films between 10-15 days every month inside of senior living communities and the best part is no day ever looks the same.

The stories, the people, the activities, the communities. They are all so unique.

This buildings are full of so much wisdom, gossip, laughter, and life that every time our team leaves a shoot, we are so tired but full of so much joy.

Thank you to all of our clients who trust us to come and be behind the lens in your communities!

- The Meaning Behind Our New Logo Sting -

Every detail of our new logo has meaning.

It begins with a dash.

The dash represents the small line between the day we're born and the day we leave this earth. It's a reminder that our lives are measured not simply by their length, but by how we choose to live our dash.

Then, the dash transforms into a cross.

For our Founder & CEO, Nathan Jones, the greatest love story in history began with a cross. His faith in Jesus has shaped both his life and the foundation on which Dash Media was built.

Finally, the cross fades into the center of our "D" icon.

This is a subtle reminder that while we're living our dash, the Spirit of God can live within us.

It's a reminder that your faith doesn't have to be separate from your work... instead it can be at the very center of your "why" at work.

After all, It is the foundation to why Dash Media exists.

That foundation inspires our team to tell stories with dignity, compassion, excellence, and genuine care for the people we serve, no matter who they are, where they live, or what they believe.

Our hope is older adults can feel loved and cared for while sharing their story.

The logo is just one small reminder of that purpose through each and every story we film.

At the end of 2025, our Founder, Nathan Jones, presented a 90 minute session at the California Assisted Living Association Conference on "The Power of Storytelling in Senior Living."

While things change in the social media world very fast, one thing has held true since Dash Media was started:

People love listening to the stories from senior living residents.

Love stories. Career stories. Wisdom stories. Funny stories.

These stories are unmatched.

So try not to get caught up in the small "hacks" of social media changes, but instead, focus on the most timeless strategy: Storytelling

In this clip from Larry Williams' The Move In podcast, Dash Media CEO Nathan Jones shares why we've always bet on storytelling over trends.

Trends can work.

But they come with two challenges:

First, many trends walk a fine line in senior living. If they're not executed well, they can feel forced, awkward, or disconnected from the people you're trying to represent.

Second, even when they perform, they often attract an audience interested in the trend itself, not your community.

At Dash, we'd rather have 1,000 people watching who could potentially live, work, volunteer, or refer someone to your community than 100,000 people watching because they liked a trending sound.

The beauty of storytelling is that there is an unlimited supply.

Every resident has a story.
Every family has a story.
Every employee has a story.
Every community has a story.

And those stories create something trends rarely can:
Connection.

The goal isn't views.

The goal is reaching the right people with the right message at the right time.

That's why we'll continue betting on authentic stories over temporary trends.

This just about sums him up! Happy Birthday to our Founder & CEO, Nathan Jones!

Our team at Dash Media partnered with Passion City Church for Love Atlanta last month with the goal to simply love on seniors living in communities in Atlanta.

First stop: A.G. Rhodes

What an unbelievable day visiting these beautiful residents! Thank you to all of the volunteers from Passion city that came out to love on these residents.

In this clip from Larry Williams' The Move In podcast, Dash Media CEO Nathan Jones shares one of the simplest ways to think about the role of video in senior living marketing:

Brochures tell people what a community offers.

Stories tell people what it feels like.

A brochure can tell me:
• How many floor plans you have
• What amenities are available
• What services are included
• What activities are offered

All of that information is important.

But when someone is deciding where they want to live, work, or trust with the care of a loved one, they're making an emotional decision as much as a logical one.

They want to know:
Who are the people who actually live in this community?
What are they like?
Where did they come from?
What does it feel like to be part of this community?
What does it feel like to work alongside this team?
What does it feel like to call this place home?

That's where storytelling becomes powerful.

A resident sharing why they moved in after a spouse passed away.

A caregiver talking about their purpose being fulfilled every day at work.

A resident sharing their story that is so relatable with others watching the video.

Those stories communicate something no brochure ever can.

Not what your community does.

But who your community is.

And gives other potential residents the thought of, "That sounds a lot like my story."

Thank you to Larry Williams and The Move In podcast for the conversation.

We love these moments of connection. ❤️ Ms. Mildred is one of those residents who leaves a lasting impression, you just can’t help but grow close to her. It’s relationships like these that make our job so special. Thankful for communities like Whealdon Estates by Barclay House that allow us the opportunity to get to know such wonderful people.

Everyone wants a viral video.
But what if the people watching don't care about senior living?
In this conversation with Larry Williams from Unlock Health, we discuss one of the biggest misconceptions in social media marketing: views alone don't equal results.

A trending audio might generate 500,000 views, but if those views come from people who will never move into a community, refer a loved one, apply for a job, or engage with your brand, what did you really accomplish?

Not only does that content not help your organization, but it could also damage your engagement on future posts that are actually trying to attract people who want to live and work in your community.

At Dash Media, we've found that the most valuable content isn't always the content that goes viral. It's the content that reaches the right people.

Future residents.
Adult children.
Potential employees.
Referral sources.
Community advocates.

The goal isn't to win the internet for a day.

The goal is to consistently tell stories that build trust, shape perception, and drive meaningful business outcomes.

A video with 1,000 views from the right audience can be far more impactful than a video with 1,000,000 views from the wrong one.

Huge thanks to to Larry Williams and the team at Unlock Health for the conversation.
