Yes, crowdfunding has helped many young artists launch their careers but it’s not as easy as it may seem. Bad news: you are probably not going to become super rich from crowdfunding. First question that you should ask yourself before starting a crowdfunding campaign on Patreon or another platform is ‘how am I going to convince people that my project is worth their money?' Do you have a large group of friends and family, social media followers that can help you spread the word. In any case, you should definitely work on your branding before starting such campaign. There are lots of different tools that can help you with that. First off, try going to Google Trends and Google Keyword Planner (they are free). Here you can easily discover what people are currently looking for and figure out which topics you can use for your channel.
🔹If you want to dive in even deeper, we would recommend using such services as Ahrefs, TubeBuddy or Keyword IO. You can use some of their features for free, but most features come with a paid subscription.
And you can also search for trending topics on reddit, medium, quora or pocket.
And of course, some of youtube’s all time trending topics are time-lapse videos, life hacks, rants, challenges, pranks, unboxing, reactions and a few others.

Oftentimes when a lot of users leave a video it means that they are not satisfied with the content they are watching. However sometimes it may not be your fault as a creator.
One of the most common reasons for such viewer behavior is a big number of ads in the video. Sure, you might earn much more from showing too many ads but this could also cause your viewers to leave your video\channel which is not really effective in the long run.

If your video is not entertaining and doesn’t grab viewers attention they will probably click out of it. Incorporate video storytelling elements into your videos and place your viewers into an interesting or intriguing, funny scene to keep their attention for longer. If your videos are long and users tend to leave your video around a certain time mark, then consider creating shorter videos.

If you want to increase watch time on your channel, you should definitely utilize youtube’s end screen feature.

✅ You have several options on how you can use them:
You can add a “Please subscribe” button
Add a link to your other video. It may or may not be related to the current video, you can also choose one of your most popular videos to promote it even more. This will most definitely increase watch hours on your channel.
If you are a member of any affiliate program, it’s also a great opportunity to add a link for a sponsored product or service, encouraging your viewers to check it out.
You can also redirect them to another channel, your own or your friends' one. Or to a crowdfunding platform for charity or your own project.
Try to use 2-3 icons on each end screen so it doesn’t look too cluttered. To make it even more effective, you can add your social media icons, youtube cards (a notification on the top right-hand corner of the screen)

YouTube is definitely a leading platform for video content, but Vimeo has its own niche that it continues to grow - It's mostly dominated by businesses as well as musicians, indie filmmakers and artists who want to share their work with the world.
Talking about the benefits of these platforms,Youtube’s main advantages would be a large audience of users which makes it easier for a creator to get discovered, the ability to earn from ad revenue and a great analytics section.
Vimeo offers beautiful high quality videos, and in a ‘pro’ account it will be even better. If you want to edit an uploaded video, you can easily do it and reupload it without losing your views and stats. It has less competition and more friendly atmosphere among users.
However, without a possibility to monetize your content it becomes harder to sell whatever you want to sell. Users on Vimeo usually don’t spend as much time as they spend on YouTube, they don’t hop from video to video which makes it harder to get your content discovered.
