This time last year, we (Sam & Mark, the people) we're having dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in Las Vegas. We're not sure if it was the fabricated high of the city, the dancing animatronics that lumbered near our table that night, or just the culmination of years spent supporting one another, but something pushed us to the conclusion that we should work together, enter Sam&Mark the graphic design company.

We left the Rainforest Cafe that night with our complimentary cup souvenirs and a dream, and since then we've gone on to make:

1. kick-ass work that helps people do their thing
2. many mistakes
3. good times

Thank you all so much for following us on this journey, we will be back to posting on here again soon. For now, enjoy our uncoordinated sparkler show.

Our drawing is inspired by all of the youth we saw at a recent protest and the families that were cheering on the sidelines. It gives us hope for a better future. Can anyone guess which cartoon and famous French painting our drawing references?

We included a donation to Black Visions Collective to go along with this drawing, it just felt like the right thing to do. Making a drawing, even with a donation, is not nearly enough, it's just one thing we can do.

Our elevator pitch has been ELEVATED. Although we're not planning on going in any real elevators any time soon, we thought we'd deliver it virtually to give you the full experience, elevator music and all.

Once a month, we have an open call for someone to write and share the advice/thoughts that are going on in their minds. We read it, create/design something about it, and post it here. For this month's edition of , wrote about the struggles of making art in our current times. As social distancing restrictions begin to ease in some places, there's still a whole bunch of uncertainty to worry about. And while it may not be easy or cute to dig into all of this dread, we figure we'll be better off if we do, so we are pleased to share this little piece of worry here. We hope it makes you feel a little less alone.
