What is Funnel marketing?
Funnel marketing is a strategy used to guide customers through the sales process, from initial awareness of a product or service to the final purchase. It is represented visually as a funnel, with the top of the funnel representing the initial stage of the process (awareness) and the bottom of the funnel representing the final stage (purchase). As customers move through the funnel, the number of potential customers decreases, but the likelihood of a sale increases.
Process of Funnel Marketing
1. Awareness
The first step in the funnel is to raise awareness of your product or service. This can be done through various channels such as social media, advertising, and content marketing.
2. Interest
Once people are aware of your product or service, the next step is to generate interest. This can be done by providing more information about your product or service and showcasing its benefits.
3. Evaluation
In the evaluation stage, potential customers will compare your product or service to others on the market. This can be done through product demos, free trials, or customer testimonials.
4. Purchase
After evaluating the options, the customer will make a purchase decision. This is the point at which they will buy your product or service.
5. Retention
After the purchase, the final step is to retain the customer by providing good customer service and encouraging repeat business.
