We’ve all heard the importance of getting testimonials from past [clients/customers].
The challenge is actually asking for the praise.
It took me a while, but I finally got over my testimonial anxiety with this foolproof strategy: When my work with someone is complete, I send an outboarding email recapping [their purchase/our takeaways] AND asking for a two-sentence testimonial. By ensuring they already have to respond to the email, I’ve found I’m much more likely to get that testimonial reply.
