ENPAK's NY Tech Week - Future of Tech: AI, Access and Who Gets Funded -panel was the most important conversation we had last week. It wasn't just a conversation about what AI can do. It was about what we should do with it, who gets access to it, and how we create pathways for more people to participate in the future being built right now.
When leaders like Deputy Borough President Ebony Young are at the table helping create opportunities for Queens innovators, when founders like Jon Laster are willing to openly share their playbook for success, and when entrepreneurs like Randi N. Gray are committed to teaching others how to leverage AI, something powerful begins to happen. You start building an ecosystem where opportunity is shared, knowledge is accessible, and fewer people are left behind.
As we keep talking about AI, we also need to keep asking the harder questions: Who is getting access? Who is getting funded? Who is building these technologies? And who risks being left behind?
Those are the conversations that matter, and those are the conversations we need more of.
