This one took us a long time to work through and we don’t think people talk about it honestly enough.

You know your offer works. You’ve seen it change things for people. And yet the moment it’s time to actually ask someone to pay for it, something shifts and suddenly you’re over-explaining, softening the price, adding disclaimers, almost apologising for asking.

We’ve done this. Most coaches we know have done this at some point.

What we’ve realised is that the discomfort around selling usually has nothing to do with the offer and everything to do with old stories about whether you’re allowed to take up space, charge what you want, and ask people for money without shrinking.

Selling something you genuinely believe in isn’t pushy. It’s actually one of the most honest things you can do — you’re just saying, I have something that works and I think it can help you. The rest is just self-trust practised out loud.

People are asking AI what they should post Instead of telling it what they already know.

And that’s where things break!

AI doesn’t know:
– what actually worked in your business
– what mistakes you’ve made
– what your audience keeps asking you
– or what you strongly believe in

So yes, it will give you ideas
but they’ll feel surface-level.

So you need to come up with the ideas first using these 4 exercises:

1. Sit down and list out moments from your own journey:
- The things that went wrong
- The lessons we learned the hard way
- The conversations that changed how we think about something
- The turning points that led us to where we are now.

These stories are the ones your audience connects with most because they feel real, and you already have more of them than you realise.

2. Write down every myth or common belief in your industry that you think is doing people more harm than good. These posts tend to get shared a lot because people feel strongly about them one way or another.

3. Spend a few minutes on YouTube looking at the most viewed videos in your niche and note down the topics. Do the same thing on Instagram and LinkedIn.

This isn’t about copying anyone - it’s just a really quick way to understand what your audience is already curious about and searching for.

4. Go through your recent conversations with clients and prospects and write down the questions they asked, the things they were confused about, the problems they described. Every single one of those is a content idea sitting right there waiting to be used.

Then you can use AI to build on these ideas.

Looking back at our first year in business, everything felt so dramatic all the time and we say that with complete affection for our past selves.

A great week felt like we’d figured everything out.

A slow week felt like it was all falling apart.

One good sales call would have us buzzing and

one that didn’t close would have us questioning everything.

A few years in and honestly everything just feels a lot quieter now. The wins are still great but they don’t send us into a spiral of excitement. The hard months are still hard but they don’t feel like the end of anything anymore.

Nobody really tells you that this steadiness is something you’re building the whole time - that every difficult stretch is slowly making you harder to rattle. But it really is one of the most underrated things that happens when you stick with this long enough.

We spent a few weeks last year trying to find a place to rent in Goa and spoke to so many brokers in the process, and almost all of them taught us something really important about what not to do in sales.

We still think about this a lot.

The pattern was the same every time — they’d show us the apartment, walk us through the rooms, and then just go completely quiet like the place was supposed to sell itself.

And every time that happened we’d walk out with a bunch of unanswered questions in our heads and no real reason to call them back.

The one broker who asked us “what’s your biggest concern about renting here?” genuinely got so close to signing us because he actually dealt with the doubts we had before we even had to bring them up.

That’s really what sales comes down to at the end of the day.

If someone walks away from your call with a doubt still sitting unanswered in their head, they’re almost certainly not coming back. Not because they didn’t want your help but because nobody made it easy for them to say yes.

On your next call, before you start pitching anything, just ask them what’s holding them back or what would make this feel like an obvious decision for them.

Let them talk. Actually listen to what they say. And then address it directly. It sounds simple but it changes everything about how your calls end.

There was a stretch earlier in our business where everything felt harder than it should have and we were genuinely convinced something was wrong.

The clients were coming in but the work felt heavy.

We were making more money but also making more decisions than ever.

Things we thought we’d figured out kept showing up again in new forms.

It didn’t feel like growth at all - it felt like we were constantly being pushed just past the edge of what felt comfortable.

It was only looking back six months later that we could actually see how much had shifted - in the business, in how we thought, in what we were capable of handling without it affecting our whole week.

If things feel uncomfortable and stretched and uncertain right now, it might not mean something is wrong. It might just mean something is changing. And you probably won’t be able to see it clearly until you’re on the other side of it.
