Also, dream big, work hard, and put yourself out there. Failure is a blessing because you learn so much from it. Fail as much as possible so you can learn as much as possible. Being an artist means being vulnerable, after all.”

In honor of Women’s Month, we’re hosting our 2nd ✨ Sound of Soul Poetry Giving Workshop ✨

🗓 March 19th
⏰ 7–10PM
📍 .studio (199 Cook St. #103, Brooklyn)

Join us for evening of writing, sharing poetry, and giving back, benefiting + 💛
jpg will lead a guided writing workshop with warm-ups + prompts to help you tap into your voice and creativity. Then we’ll open the floor for our Circle of Voices open mic, followed by small group reflections to connect and build community.

💸 $10 required donation to attend (Venmo: or Zelle: [email protected]) 100% of ticket amount goes towards our donation drive.
💗 Additionally, you may bring new, unopened menstrual products (pads, tampons, liners, essentials) to contribute.

In my work, I try to preserve cultural nuance while also addressing systemic harm and collective healing. There’s a spiritual thread that runs through everything I create, which is directly tied to my upbringing.”

Our first shoot drop of the year: Sculpted by Strength 🧵🪡

This project first took wave by two simple details we wanted to bring out: our love for vintage inspired fashion + the many shapes and movements women create.

In every form we are powerful. & with the support of each-other we have the ability to stitch our hearts back together after heartbreaks. Each step in our life resembles our undeniable pull towards self love.

Meet on Faces of Her Studio New York’s newest blog interview; a multifaceted artistic creator who believes that anything she touches or puts her mind to can turn into art.

“I would center my signature hairstyles around braid sculpting. Braids are endless and sculpting is Art. I love mixing the two because the ideas become infinite. Every time I sculpt braids, I let my hands guide me. I feel so free because most of the time I don’t know where I’m headed but I know the outcome is always beautiful. ”
