ONE VOICE. ONE MOVEMENT. END FEMICIDE. END INFANTICIDE.
Yesterday, women-led organizations along Commercial Avenue, including RWASJ, united in a powerful march and advocacy action against femicide, infanticide, and violence against women and children in the North-West Region and Cameroon.
The presence of the Representative of the Governor, MINPROFF representatives, Delegates and other distinguished authorities and stakeholders, who joined us in amplifying the call to protect women’s and children’s lives was honoured on ground.
This action reinforces the commitment of MINPROFF and women-led organizations to advance protection, empowerment, justice and gender equality.
RWASJ advocacy contributes directly to the SDGs—particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships).
Their message is simple: violence against women and children must end. Silence is not an option. Prevention, protection, justice and accountability are everyone’s responsibility.
Together, let us turn our voices into action and build a Cameroon where every woman and child can live safely, with dignity and without fear.

Older persons are rights-holders, not burdens. They deserve to age with dignity, good health, security, inclusion and meaningful participation.
To policymakers: the time for promises is over. Act now.
Invest in universal, adequate and sustainable social protection, strengthen age-responsive healthcare, protect older persons from abuse and discrimination, and ensure older people have a voice in the policies and budgets that affect their lives.
Listen to older persons. Include them. Fund action. Deliver change.
Because ageing is not someone else’s future—it is our shared future.
