“The Labyrinth” is the debut digital-first project by New York-based artist Kyung-Me () and the latest Artlab Digital Commission (.artlab). Every swipe or scroll triggers unexpected transformations in this cyclical narrative where nothing is quite as it seems—guiding you toward your most authentic self.
With your mouse or touchpad as guide, your interactions make elements appear, move, and disappear as each frame leads to the next. The journey is imbued with symbols that resonate with the artist and the collective consciousness of every traveler through the labyrinth.
In Kyung-Me’s words, the project developed from a desire for personal evolution: “I was yearning for a change. I wanted to break out of certain cycles…I began working in watercolor and ink, starting with a single mark and following it without knowing where it would lead.”
