We’re proud to share that Amplify Good PR principal Meredith LeJeune has been recognized by the PRSA Black Voices Affinity Group as one of 20 Black leaders building, creating and shaping the future of communications.

The recognition, part of PRSA’s Black Business Month celebration, highlights Black professionals who are building agencies, consultancies and creative firms while helping move the communications industry forward.

For Amplify Good, this recognition is especially meaningful. Meredith’s relationship with PRSA began as a college student serving as vice president of her PRSSA chapter and has continued through leadership roles with PRSA Hampton Roads and PRSA-NY, recognition as a Rising Star and 15 Under 35 honoree and, most recently, as a 2023 Big Apple Awards recipient.

That journey reflects so much of what Amplify Good stands for today: strategic communications, meaningful impact and creating space for more diverse voices and leaders within our industry.

Earlier this month, Amplify Good principal Meredith LeJeune had the pleasure of attending the Empowerment Network’s Rebuilding the Village Conference in Omaha, Nebraska. The experience was as impactful as the people!

Supporting Avant Solutions, she secured conference coverage across all three local broadcast stations. She also had the opportunity to lead a breakout session on storytelling and branding.

Three key takeaways from her session:
▪️Visibility starts with clarity: It’s not about going viral—it’s about telling your story clearly and strategically so people understand what you do and why it matters.
▪️The media wants relevance, not publicity: Strong pitches lead with what’s timely and useful for the outlet’s audience—then connect your expertise to that moment.

What do PR people do? The answers will vary depending on who you ask. This weekend, we got to get in our media relations bag and helped spotlight an amazing Omaha-based organization. We were up early, making calls to assignment desk to confirm which news outlets would be attending this event. We greeted the different stations once they arrived and worked with them to get the right people on camera to not only build their story package, but also highlight the client’s work. As PR people, we wear many hats, but media relations is our favorite!
