How much influencer marketing is too much? Often times I get frustrated with the amount of sponsored videos Youtubers will post, especially if it is several in a row. To me, it doesn't come off as genuine and like they truly love the products they are promoting. Therefore, marketers who work in influencer marketing should pay special attention to how influencers are coming across when they are marketing their products. For example, This has started to happen with this Youtuber/influencer I used to love, Sierra Furtado. As you can see from the photo, in one of her recent videos she is marketing a website I've never heard her ever mention using until this video Fragerance.com. These days, it's hard to know which influencers are being genuine in this oversaturated influencer market.

Social media algorithms are often the bane of a social media marketer's existence. But they are also bad for content creators as they squash creativity, according to this really interesting think piece from The Guardian. So should social media apps fix or modify their alorigthsm, or just get rid of them altogether? The millennial market is so large, it can be hard to know how to target them using social media. Social media has changed so much over the past 10 years, and as marketers we always need to be adapting to these changes. Love this article from Forbes that breaks down some common myths about social media that are no longer true or never were.
