Part 2 of our engagement with GP we produced a series of videos for them.

Instead of posting separate interviews, we distilled it into one narrative that connects:

• leadership
• lived experience
• mission

Some creative decisions are about what you choose to show — and what you choose to unify.

When narrative is intentional, impact feels cohesive.

Brand refresh for our friends at Graduate Philadelphia

The original blue and yellow had energy.
But the organization has grown — and the brand needed to grow with it.

We moved to a navy and peach palette:
• Navy for trust and credibility
• Peach for warmth and accessibility

We simplified the logo system, refined the typography (Avenir Next), and built a scalable GP mark that works everywhere — from web to social to print.

Good design isn’t about trends.
It’s about alignment.

Proud of this evolution.

We don’t just create content.
We help programs tell the truth about their impact.

Over the past few years, we’ve supported the with comprehensive media design — capturing first-hand stories from fellows, families, and partners.

Some of this work has been contracted. Some of it has been in-kind.
All of it has been rooted in belief.

Grateful to help document something that’s building long-term change.

Following our first panel on the adultification of Black girls, we had the opportunity to document another important discussion this summer with the team at the MeToo. This time focusing on Black boys. This conversation shed light on the ways society often misjudges and overburdens young Black boys. Here’s a recap from the New York event.

Over the summer, we got to work on a couple of projects with the amazing team over at the MeToo. We covered and documentedn two panel discussions on the adultification of Black children. This is the recap from the 1st one held here in Philadelphia about the adultification of Black girls.

Earlier this year, we produced an Impact Short in celebration of The Fund for the School District of Philadelphia’s 10th anniversary — a visual tribute to a decade of meaningful investment in Philly’s public education system.

1. Initial Consultation:
DVS&Co collaborated closely with the UAC team to learn about the SYE program and did a deep dive into their mission, values, and goals. These conversations were crucial in laying the groundwork for a cohesive brand identity and website design that would resonate with their audience.

2. Website Development:
We started by using the existing copy from UAC’s SYE web page as a foundation for the new website’s design. Once we aligned on the visual direction, we enriched the site with updated images, refined content, and essential functionalities, ensuring a modern and engaging user experience for both students and employers.

3. Brand Identity Concepts:
Building on UAC’s established brand, DVS&Co proposed two distinctive concepts to the SYE team:

• The first concept featured an open book with sun-like pages inside a protective shield, representing knowledge, security, and new beginnings.
• The second concept portrayed a torch, potentially held by hands, with the UAC icon forming the flame—a powerful symbol of mentorship and leadership.
After thoughtful consideration, the chosen concept perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the SYE program.

The Result?
A fresh, impactful brand identity that embodies SYE’s mission while seamlessly integrating with UAC’s core branding. The new, user-friendly website effectively communicates essential program details, deadlines, and processes, enhancing engagement with both students and employers.
